    Turns out there's more to using this valve to fill 1lb containers...I needed to also purchase a scale and watch a U tube video.... After that, it works great! Had a big campout and need 10 propane 1 lb tank... Even with the additional purchase of a scale, it's saved the group a lot of money and I can fill them again.

    I’ve used the hose style before to fill the smaller 1 lb green propane bottles from the larger white 20 lb containers. All went well for years until it sprung a small leak. I purchased this no-hose adapter and it leaked from the plastic housing right away. I’ve done this dozens of times before, so I know how to tighten it, open the valve, etc. Disappointed - into the trash & ordered another adapter with the hose in between and I’m back in action.

    This valve fills tank about 1/3. Then you have to purge air out, then repeat until full.
