    As more people discover the goodness of fatwood it seems as if the quality from some vendors has been going down. -The wood is less 'fatty.' I.e., has less of the natural oils in it that makes fatwood such a good fire starting material.

    The relatively low price of Eco-Stix made me concerned about this when I placed this order, but other reviewers spoke well of the product and so I 'chanced it.'

    Glad I did! This is real fatwood. Quite consistent in size. And the box, while I did not weigh it, was full.

    Good product. Very good price. Recommended!

    Fire starter works, yet the pieces are quite irregular in both width and length. many small pieces and lots of very thick pieces, which I end up in splitting at least in half if not in thirds. Not a very bug deal if you don't mind the extra step.
    Light up easily. It's pretty smoky and with a strong scent, much smokier and "smellier" than fatwood I used before.
    Did not checked the weight on arrival, but it's a considerable amount of sticks! Overall good value.

    I use three sticks to start the fire in my wood stove. Very fast and easy to use. I've been using this brand for just over a year. Very Satisfied.

    This is the best value for your dollar on Fatwood. This Fatwood does not have consistent lengths like the more expensive kinds but who cares? Its burns and will be ash in minutes after starting a fire.
