    This is a scam. The seller dumped out the calcium chloride mixture and replaced it with cheap rock salt . Yes he sprinkled a few pellets of calcium chloride on top as you can see by the picture . The calcium chloride mixture is light weight . I can hardly lift these jugs because they are filled with heavy rock salt. I paid $41 for $5 worth of rock salt . I will be filing a claim if the seller does not refund my money .

    We recently had a rain/sleet/snow storm and it turned to ice overnight. We had to use a lot of this Scotwood Industries 12J-RR Road Runner Premium Ice Melter to melt the thin coat of ice and we really went through it on the thicker areas. I didn’t get much traction in the thin areas that I felt should have had it with the amount we spread. The instructions say to use 1/4 to 1/2 cup for every square yard. I didn’t measure it but we had to go out and spread more later when we saw it wasn’t melted as much as we like. Giving the product the benefit of the doubt, we may have been stingy on the first go around. I did like that it didn’t seem to leave stains on the porch and driveway.
