I bought this the help heat a portable hot tub that quite heating. I was skeptical at first but it actually did the job. It heated my hot tub to 115 degrees. Which is extremely hot, I had to let the hot tube cool down a little before getting in.
It does draw a lot of power so if you are running anything else that draws power on the same circuit it may flip the breaker. So when I use it I unplug the hot tub, and the space heater in my garage to avoid that from happening.

I use this product for our outdoor pool. The pool is 1500 gallons it doesn't get the water hot but can raise the temp about 3 degrees overnight. It's fast and easy to place. It doesn't use much electricity and is cheaper than other heaters and very easy to store.
    It is very functional

Worked wonderful until it all of a sudden just stopped.. I'm convinced these things have internal problems. This is my 3rd purchase of this a type of item & working on my 4th, which is also defective.. smh

4.0 out of 5 stars It works and is efficient, given that it is only 120v, but that means it's slow.

I bought this when our water heater broke so that my wife could take a hot bath. It's a simple unit - it looks like a giant stainless steel curling iron with holes through it. The water heats in the holes and turns to steam. That drop of steam rises up and gives its heat to the surrounding water. The longer the wand is in, the warmer the water and the faster the bloops from the steam forming.

    Things you need to know:

THIS IS NOT GROUNDED. On the chance that your outlet is wired incorrectly (It will still function, you can't check without a tool), you can electrify your bath tub and die. Therefore, they give you a thermometer with a probe to put in the water to check the temperature. We just unplugged it and put our hands in the water to mix it up and feel the temperature. Do not stick your finger in the water when it is plugged in. If you have a GFI receptacle, check it regularly to make sure it did not pop.

It is slow: There is only so much you can get out of one plug - it is just the limits of the 15 Amp receptacle in your house. It takes about 4 hours to heat the bath.

You may need an extension cord

Gotta get a new water heater for rv but for now this will work , so far heating water up . Do as instructions say and it won’t burn up or catch fire , I seen some people had that problem , this must be completely under water when using and one plug , one outlet only let it cool for few seconds while still. in water when ready unplug then take out and enjoy water. Just got done with it just awhile ago and this heater really works great, it’s just until I get another big water heater but for now ????. Do as instructions say and you’ll be good to go.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cord not long enough
Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2024
Everything is great with this immersion water heater except that the cord is too short to heat up my bath water. Our hot water heater tank went out and I bought this, only way I can use it is by filling up the tub to the tippy top so it can be fully immersed in water which is not ideal, you can't use an extension cord as it states in the cautions and when I tried it over heated and cut off.

This is the second immersion water heater I bought coz the first one I previously got (different brand) doesn’t work at all. I got this product so I can do the steaming in my bathroom. It heats fast. Quality of the product is great. One word of advice, strictly follow the safety guidelines on this product to avoid any potential injury. Other than that, this product serves its purpose.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for what it is, temper your expectations!

I’ve used this thing twice already and it was able to heat my inflatable 8 foot pool from 77F to 85F in about 5 hours. That’s not bad for the cost of this thing, and it comes with a pretty accurate thermometer (compared to the ones I already own).

Do not expect this to heat up a pool this size to 102F in a couple of hours, it just won’t happen. For me, this is an excellent purchase because we’re having 70F weather where I live and I’m making the water warm enough for me to enjoy my inflatable pool a little longer now that summer is over.

Be careful what extension cords you use with this thing, and make sure you’re using a good outlet that isn’t already drawing too much electricity from other outlets/sources or you’ll be tripping your breakers. I used a heavy gauge outdoor extension cord on an outdoor GFCI and it was warm to the touch after an hour or so,
