    It comes well protected with heavy, plastic, wrapping. It's in several pieces, which are easily assembled. The spout needs to be screwed into the body. It fits very tightly and doesn't leak. It also has a little sprinkler piece, which attaches snuggle to the spout end . The spout fits very easily into the plants center for better control.
    The opening where you pour in the water is an approximately 1.5-2.5 inches oval shaped at the handle end, and prevents spillage when pouring the water.
    The plastic material that it's made from is fairly heavy and well made. with a strong, wide handle. With care it should last for years.
    This is not for garden use because of it's size and plastic composition.
    Looks nice on the counter shelf. Very handy for small house plants. I chose the light blue. It would be a nice gift for anyone with small potted window plants.
    I expect to have this watering can for many years.

    After reading the pros and cons of this item, I decided to take a chance. A good decision on my part. It holds just the right amount of water for my indoor and patio pots. It is not hard to assemble and does not come apart in use. It does not leak. It has the advantage of three ways to water, direct, and two position in the shower portion.

    That it is pleasant to look and is made of plastic and will not rust are added bonuses. Will it last a lifetime? I don't think that's an issue at this price. But I think it will give me a good run for my money.

    So so far it’s just a simple watering pot. It gets the job done. The style is sleek and simple. Only down fall is that it leaks a little. But that can be easily fixed with some tape or glue

    I never understood the point of a watering can before. I thought I was fine using my milk jugs. But the milk jugs deliver the water too quickly, which floods the plant. The tip of this watering can (without the showerhead attachment) is perfect for delivering controlled water to your potted plants. The stream of water is so much gentler than the jug I was using. It's easier to maneuver it when full, too, because it holds only half a gallon of water.

    Now when I want to water all my potted plants, I'll fill up a gallon milk jug or two with the water and fertilizer, then I use that to refill my watering can. This is the perfect compromise between quantity and maneuverability.

    So, my sister wanted a nice-looking one-gallon outdoor watering can (as in a can, made of metal). I saw some one-gallon jobs, but they weren't so nice looking. All I seemed to be able to find were these small half-gallon "cans." I didn't pay close attention to the reviews. I mean, it's just supposed to be a watering can, after all. They look great in the photos (good job, advertising crew), but are made of cheap plastic. How embarrassing! In the description it says ... oops, at one point they call it a "watering pot"... that the watering pot is "anti-fall," whatever that means. What an odd detail! I put water in it to make it seem not so cheap and to make sure that I don't accidentally knock the thing over. It does look pretty in the dark green, as long as you don't look too closely at the plastic surface, which is already marred.

    Careful! The "shower nozzle" that attaches to the end of the spout is made of an even cheaper thin plastic which snaps together in two pieces, as I easily discovered by touching it. After snapping it back together, I tested it over my kitchen sink and it does provide the desired showering effect. Drippy, of course. Not exactly sure you can call it leakage.

    It took longer than normal to deliver for some reason. 17 days. I'm not returning it. I'll just keep it for myself and maybe use it for ... I haven't figured out exactly what I'm going to use it for. Certainly not going to give a chunk of cheap plastic to my sister.

    I guess I'll have to go to an antique shop or somewhere to get my sister a proper watering can. Sixteen-dollar lesson learned.

    Works great. Once you remove the plastic from the end of the spout(to attach it to base) make sure that the little black o-ring does not fall out. It just keeps things snug so that water won't leak. I haven't used the spout with holes because I like the direct stream of water. My last one rusted inside so that's why I bought a plastic one. It's not very big so I have to refill often, but it would be too heavy if it was bigger so I think it will be just fine.
