5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS THING! I can push it with one hand! Snow clearing is fun!

I love this thing! I'm a petite lady, and this cordless snow shovel is super light weight and easy to assemble and handle! I like that it's battery operated so I don't have to pull a cord multiple times to turn on. I literally just flip the switch and press to turn on. I can walk and push this with one hand thru the snow, it's so light and easy to maneuver. I can clear our driveway, the path to the front door, and the sidewalks that extend to each neighbor driveway on the battery charge. It's slim dimensions mean it just leans up against the garage wall, taking up the same amount of space as a regular shovel - not like a regular snowblower and lawnmower size. We also purchased the "leaf blower" from the same line to clear lighter snow cover and short walkways, steps, and like that the batteries are inter-changable. This snow shovel is better for accumulated, heavier snow and larger areas like the driveway and longer sidewalk stretches. We love it! It makes snow clearing fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for 3-6” of snow. Easy on the back.

It is easy on the back and elbows. Works pretty good if there is no wind, fighting a battle otherwise. My drive is 110 feet long and two car wide. If there is 3” of snow I can almost clear it all with the new battery. If the snow is deeper expect less drive finished. It won’t do over 6”. Make sure there isn’t rocks or sticks. Scary noises and could break it or break something. Pretty lightweight. Need to bend to change direction of each swoop. Doesn’t really work if under 1-2”. Not enough snow to blow it far enough away, so you end up doing it with a shovel anyway. Doesn’t clean as good as a shovel IMO. The pic shows what I did with one battery life. I have back issues so it has been a life saver. Don’t expect it to preform like a large snowblower. You get what you pay for. Love there are no fumes like a lg snowblower. Used it 3x so far. Need a backup battery. Easy to push uphill with the extra handle and resting on your belly. Not hard on fresh snow.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent!!

I was expecting thisnto be a gimmick, but it actually works! And well! As long as its light, powdery snow below 6".

This shoots the snow up and away just like a snowblower would. It's super fun to use!

    There are several drawbacks however.

1.) It's relatively heavy. That kind of makes sense right? But bc of this, it may not be the best for a seniors. You can push it along pretty well....but...

2.) The bottom AND the rotating "blade" are made of plastic!! Ensuring you will have to replace it when a small rock or any foreign objects in the snow breaks the "blade".
I would recommend they put small wheels or something at the bottom so that you arent pushing the plastic along cement or asphalt and wearing it down.

Overall, I like it a lot, but it does have it's drawbacks. I went with the battery powered one which lasts quite long enough (havent tested how long it lasts but it was enough for me to do my driveway, sidewalk, and back porch).

Id recommend it to those who have light snow fairly often. Pretty good product.

5.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT WINTER ASSET

Put this guy together in minutes. Charger worked pretty quickly. First measurable snow fall I was excited to use it. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my wrists etc protest when I use a shovel. I purchased it primarily for a handicap ramp I had built a few years ago. I also use it for the immediate front walkway in front of the ramp. (gotta keep the path safe for my Amazon delivery folks!) It is powerful, quick and I can change the direction of the "snow blow" easily. So far it has worked well in deeper snowfall as well (6-7" last week). Easy to handle, not too heavy for my weaker wrists, stores easily, charges quickly).

3.0 out of 5 stars its slightly better than shoveling
Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2025
I ordered this because I usually shovel my sidewalk and two neighbors walks. Since Im geting older I was was hoping to find something easier on the back. I tested the voltask snow shovel out on about 3-4 inches of fresh snow. Here are my thoughts after using it for the first time:

    Pros:
    1. easy to assemble and not overly heavy, but heavier than expected. Comes with everything you need, shovel, battery and charger. I purchased an extra battery for less down time between charges
    2. Safety button to prevent accidently turning the blade on when carrying or moving it around. Button is located on both sides of the handle making the shovel ambidextrous.
    3. Super easy to operate. If you can operate a weed whacker you can operate this snow shovel. Push the button, squeeze the handle and push it forward.

    Cons:
    1. Works better on paved or smooth surfaces than sidewalk. There are no wheels on this thing, so it uses the vibrations from the motor to kind of slide along the surface you are shoveling. This does not work well on sidewalks because the lip of the shovel catches on every joint in the sidewalk and abruptly stops every few feet.
    2. Because there are no wheels you really have to push it with some force. This is equally hard on the back as using a normal shovel. Im 5'10" and the I have to bend down a decent amount to push this.
    3. With a freshly charged battery and 3-4 inches of snow, I was able to get about 15 mins of run time. Not enough time to do my walk and my neighbors. But coming in to charge it gives my sore back time to rest.

    Overall:
Its not bad, but not great. If you are looking for something to make clearing your walks a breeze, this is not it. But it is a little easier than using a regular shovel. If I had it to do over I would have purchased a model/brand with wheels. This is heavy enough and catches on uneven surfaces enough that it would probably be difficult for someone who is elderly or has limited mobility to operate. After about 15 minutes my back was sore from the effort used to push it and bending over to lift it up every time it hit an expansion joint in the sidewalk. I would also suggest purchasing another battery you only get about 15 minutes of run time.
