I was very hopeful with this cover. Product quality is lacking. Lots of tears and fastener breakdown. Called Intex to see if they would back their product and they only have a 90 day warranty. I guess that's the length of time you can expect this product to last.

Best pool above ground for the money. Sturdy, easy to set up, nice depth. Highly recommended the Coleman 15x13 instant screenhouse for the 10ft pool for night swimming and keeping out bugs and debris. Buy some 10 inch rebar pegs and it doesn't move. Filter works just fine . Recommended a net hand skimmer or surface skimmer also just for drop in bugs. Fits 4-5 kids aged 6- and up. Littles will be more. Fits 5 adults with plenty of room. No leaks, no issues at all. Yes, the pump timer stops after however many hours you set it for. Just turn the dial to another number and back again and it's on. No need to reset. Recommend a plastic 2 step stair for ease of entry. Wouldn't bother with a ladder. Had it for a month and regret nothing. Should have done this long ago.

The photo doesn't quite show the product we got, there are some differences. The logo placement, which is no big deal. Also, there are holes through the cover which allow the passage of air. These are a good thing, keeping a vacuum from forming, keeping the thing from acting like a wing in high winds and blowing off into your neighbor's yard. It's just that the photo doesn't show the actual product. maybe the one in the photo is an earlier model?

We actually have the 13' pool, but there is no cover that size available, so we got this one. It works just fine despite the size difference. In fact, because we have the extra area, we don't have to take the ladder out to put the cover on. We just stretch the cover over the ladder. Which made me realize that if you DO have the 15' pool, you would have to remove the ladder to put the cover on. I'm kinda lazy, so that's not an appealing idea to me.

The vinyl is thick and high quality, which matters a lot to us as we live in a desert with very high UV that destroys everything in a short amount of time.Even so, I've noticed a bleaching effect occurring around the areas with the holes. Not sure if that's the chlorine from the pool water, the sun's rays being amplified by the water on top of the cover, or a combination of the two. Pretty sure that's gonna be where the vinyl starts failing, though.

I have noticed we lose hardly any water to evaporation when using the cover. Without any cover, we were losing 2"/day of water! The desert is a harsh mistress. We were using black plastic sheathing before we bought this cover, and I'm very happy with the convenience of the cover, the drawstring, the seams, all of that kinda stuff. Marked improvement over our rigged up cheapo cover. I do wish it were a lighter color to help reflect the sun more. It looks light blue, but is more of a medium blue, and it gets pretty hot to the touch in the full sun. When you remove it, it burns your hands pretty quickly if you're not careful. That's not the fault of the cover, though, and I see no way to remedy that except to shade your whole pool.

For the price, it's fantastic, although i have a feeling with our harsh conditions, it won't last more than a year. That's par for the course here, though, so not really a minus. It's a good value. If you have the pool, you should get the cover. In fact, I think they only sell the pools with covers now, so that should tell you how much they help.

So far it’s better than other cover that I’ve used

I’ve been using other basic covers over the years that seem to getting thinner and not making it even one winter so I decided to upgrade to the 20 year cover this year. The material feels much thicker than the others and the seams appear to be made better. It covered my 24 ft diameter round pool nicely with little overlap, no more or less than the other covers that I’ve used. The cable and winch is typical of pool covers and works fine. Time will tell how it’ll last through the winter but so far I think it shouldn’t have any issues. The tan color looks very nice compared to the black covers that I’ve used in the past, we’ll see how it looks in spring.
Overall the first impressions are good.

Fits exactly like it should

Fits exactly as it should and is made of some kind of material that stretches just a bit to allow for getting it very snug to the pool walls. This was my first season with it so I'm not sure how long it will last, but based on this summer's use it seems like it will last the live of the pool easily. Took a little learning to figure out how to get it onto the pool as a one-man job, but two people can easily do it. If you do it alone, you may want to have a way to clamp down at least one place as you walk around the pool, otherwise you'll end up dragging it in.

IT SINKS- lots of extra effort required

This cover is very large and difficult to get across the pool, and it does not fasten securely. The holes in the middle of the cover cause it to sink into the pool water, which means all the debris collected on top of the cover goes into the pool. It takes two people 10 minutes to get the cover on. It's a lot of effort for a little return.

We've had some success with stretching rope across the pool frame from one side to the other in order to keep the cover from touching the pool water in the middle. But again, that adds a lot of work and hassle, which makes the whole thing feel pointless.

It just colors very quickly in the sun, and not evenly. So it starts out a nice big blue color, but very soon it's weird shades of green and blue and gray. Looks very tacky.

If this cover had some way of attaching to the pool frame it would be great. But since it doesn't, you have to figure out some way to get it to stay on the frame, because just trying to pull it tight with the drawstring is not going to do it.

You're better off just stretching a big tarp over the pool and tying the corners down, or weighing them down with something.

This cover is almost an insult, it demands so much work but delivers little benefit.
