HAMMOCK AS BED REPLACEMENT - FOR REALS

This is hands down the best purchase I have made in YEARS. I use this hammock as my bed replacement and I have never looked back.
As a matter of fact, I still snuggle in every night and have myself a little contented sigh of GRATITUDE because I KNOW I will sleep well.
I don't mean sleep like a baby (right!) I mean sleep like a teenager at noon. Mouth open, drooling and totally OUT.

THE HAMMOCK
The hammock is made of cotton. It is thick but not stiff like grandpaw's old tarp. It is soft and sturdy.
THE STAND
The stand goes together with some wingnuts, no tools necessary. Takes 5 minutes tops.
The hammock and stand is rated up to 450 pounds and me, my husband and my teenage daughter put it to the test. Not even a groan from the stand. What was weird was we were also comfortable all piled in there. The hammock gives here and there keeping things from getting squished.
The stand is compact and I sleep with it pushed all the way against the wall and I do not have a problem banging my head.
HOW TO SLEEP IN THE HAMMOCK
I have read other reviews where people complained about the center of the hammock being tight or stiff which is the nature of the hammock.
You do not lie in straight down the center of the hammock to sleep. (However, that is where I like to read.)
To sleep you get in and scoot your shoulders one direction and your legs the other so that you are at a diagonal in the hammock. When you do that the center does not fill tight or stiff anymore. One small pillow to go behind your knees and one tiny pillow (or rolled up towel) to support the curve of your neck and your are good to go.

AGE, CREAKY JOINTS AND OTHER CALAMITIES
I have a multitude of problems with bad shoulders, neck, knees, freaking awesome menopause. This hammock took care of the sleep issues I had with my maladies. My shoulders and neck do not hurt anymore and my knees don't wake me up hurting either. Menopause? Still enjoying the mood swings but what I do not do is overheat in my hammock. I have had nights where I went from bed to couch to spare bedroom to air mattress, to refrigerator, outside... heating up everything I laid on. Oh yeah, and sweating like I work on a banana farm. The hammock BREATHES and I do not jump up on fire anymore.

This is getting long, but if you are still here I will tell you that I used to sleep on my Sleep Number mattress with 4 pillows to try to find a way to sleep through the night. Don't get me wrong. Sleep Number makes a great mattress, but after a while there are just too many things wrong with a person's body. If I sleep on my back I smother because of sinus drainage year round. If I sleep on my side my shoulders will wake me up hurting. (messed them both up doing dumb stuff in my younger years). If I sleep on my stomach my neck hurts and I cannot breathe. I had one pillow for my head, one pillow for my knees and one pillow on either side of me for support.

What the hammock does is cradles your body so you are not propping up pillows. Your body can actually totally RELAX. My head is on a slight incline which is apparently enough to prevent drowning in my mucus. It is an amazing experience to wake up in the morning fully rested without anything hurting. I would not have believed it had I not experienced it.

If I overdo yard work and have sore or pulled muscles, I can rest in my hammock and I recuperate faster.

BOTTOM LINE
If you are tired of trying to find a mattress that will let you sleep through the night, try a hammock. It is hella cheaper than buying a mattress and at the worst, you have something you can lounge in just for fun. Join Gilligan, the Skipper and me.

UPDATE: Still sleeping in my hammock every night. I have taken it on business trips and avoided sleeping in a hotel bed. Still best night's sleep. No wear, no tear. Still looks new.

The Family Hammock

We've been using this Hammock for a few weeks now and it's made of the highest quality materials! I'm a 5'3 female and about 130 pounds and you can definitely feel the strength in this product! Then unloading the pieces, the frame is made up of all solid steel pieces, and all pre-drilled holes which, THANK YOU! Easy setup!! You can see in my photos all the pictures of all the frame pieces, screws, and hammock. I recommend taking all the Steel frame bar pieces out to your location you want to build it, and piece it together there to avoid having to try to carry it, makes it way easier than carrying an awkward frame. The frame does have significant weight to it, which is a good thing! After its built, you gotta put the hammock on, and its done! Has a few spare parts with it and an awesome carrying bag that everything including the frame fits into! It can be taken apart and put in the travel bag in 5 minutes easy. The Cloth on the Hammock is super thick and woven very tight. It's made extremely well, and the colors are very vibrant and looks so nice! It can be washed too. I would personally either wash it with blue dawn dish soap and air dry it or gentle wash fast cycle in the washer and then air dry. The Hammock and the Steel Stand are top notch and made with the best of the best! I highly recommend this to anyone considering a hammock.. once you get in, you will NOT want to get out! It's so snug and cuddly and warm....I can lay in it with me, my boyfriend and our little puppy dog for hours and watch the stars and doze off no problem. He's 5'11 and fits in it just fine, whether hes in there alone or we are in it together. Worth every cent.

im an almost 300 lb person sleeping nightly in this hammock for 2-3 months now and I love it!! it's comfortable, its sturdy, and it's a helluva lot cheaper than a bed lol. it stands up against; me thrashing around wildly, me swinging for hours on end, me flopping down on it.. the fabric is nice and thick, and has held up against my cats tiny little claws. it is pretty long tho I didn't expect it to be so big which is my fault but I've got a pretty small room and this takes up a good chunk of it. u can sleep any position u want, u just have to sleep slightly diagonal so youre straight and not curved like a banana. it's really nice when it's hot bc it lets the air flow beneath and over you (this sucks when it's cold tho I would recommend laying a thick blanket down first and laying on top of that if it's cold wherever u r that insulates better) which is my fav part of all of them I get overstimulated by heat really easy and I no longer overheat when trying to sleep. solid hammock really nice good price can't provide any insight on how well it survives outside tho

I originally was looking for a stand for a hammock I already had and found this and ordered it because the price was low and I could afford it. I absolutely LOVE it!
I’ve been in it every single night reading in it and watching the sun go down. I take the hammock in every night and leave the stand out easy peezy set up. Next up in my hammock when I get clear night I will be star gazing!
I hope the price stays the same($63) because I think everybody should be able to have a quality hammock for under 70 bucks. That’s a gift in itself????

Btw I got 3 of us in it and didn’t have any tearing. Holds up to 420lbs and it comes with a carry bag so I can take it with me to work!!
