Pros: Super quiet!, easy to start (I'm an old woman and can start it easily), runs perfectly for long periods, carry handle, small size (fits under a desk to store), easy-view gas gauge, seems to be gas-efficient.

Cons: Can't find any except it is a little pricey - but definitely worth it.

This is my second time trying a Champion generator , and I actually upgraded to this model because I need something smaller and quieter, and let me tell you this is a great option, it’s super easy to carry and so quite . I’m glad I make the choice to upgrade to this model .

First, I was impressed by the detailed instructions and everything you need to get the unit running, oil, and even a funnel to add oil. They thought of the little things, like the handy clip for the LP cord to organize the kit. The unit starts easily and is quiet on eco mode even when outputting 1,000 watts. My only complaint is the unit is bogging down and stops charging my Eco Flow Delta Pro at around 1,100 watts but Champion rates this model for more than 1,800 run time. Maybe I need a shorter cord.

We live in an area that gets yearly tropical storms so we needed a generator. We used this generator for our fridge and lights during the last hurricane. It worked great. We like that it is duel fuel, easy to carry and that you can connect it to another generator to up the power. We ended up buying a second one to do just that, since we bought a portable a/c for the next storm.

I bought this unit as an emergency generator. It run about 30 minutes and shut down. I tried running again and it run 30 minutes and then wouldn’t start again. I called champion support and they claimed the inverter needed to be reset they sent a video to dismantle the unit and change the inverter which I had no part to replace with after many calls finally got through and they said to take to a warranty dealer that was weeks ago I called serviceman and he said he thought the low oil sensor was malfunctioning. Ther serviceman said he did what champion told him to do to no avail and said he thought repair cost would be more than unit was worth More calls to champion and never got through after waiting hours on phone. I put a review on champions website and their response was tell the serviceman to change the oil. Why I should be involved with warranty repair is ridiculous. You can’t get through to champion support without waiting hours while their system plays marketing messages over and over. They have no callback service and they don’t respond to emails. This unit is defective. I’m ready to deny credit card charge and let Amazon and champion fight this out. Maybe at one time champion had good service but they sure don’t now. Buyer beware. Deeply regret buying this!

Okay, I purchased this generator to take with us when our batteries needed recharging out on the road with our trailer camper. I planned to only use propane with it because gas goes bad too quickly, and propane has more utility while camping. The generator is fairly quiet, and it's also pretty easy to start and to operate. As the propane tank gets to about 1/4 full, the pressure begins to wane and the output decreases so my batteries take longer to charge. That's the only "con" if I had to state one. A "plus" is that the oil seems to stay a lot cleaner with the propane instead of gasoline. The CO detector went off when I used it at first, but I "fixed" that by putting a fan on the unit and blowing the exhaust away while charging the batteries.

Bought this after Hurricane Beryl - I have three solar generator/battery backups which is enough to run my fridge around the clock, but if there's no sun, it's hard to recharge fast enough. I bought this to charge those if necessary, and also a portable a/c at night. Because it was hot without electricity for 6 days. I've tested this on both gas and propane, and changed the oil. I'm very pleased with the product and price. I'll prep it for long-term storage and look forward to pulling this out when next needed. Thanks!
