I've owned this for a few months now.
A small tank of propane lasts about 5 burns for me--that's about 90 minutes of constant use per burn. I'm pleased with that.
I used to spray weeds with weed killer. Aside from the dangers of toxicity, overspray, etc, I then had to wait until the weeds died before I could clean my walk, and by then new weeds were emerging.
I need to burn my walks about once every 4 weeks. I find that each time I am finding fewer weeds.
Yes, you can just blanch the weed and it'll die (the leaves turn bright green), but I've found that if you take the time and burn them to oblivion, the results are much more attractive. The walk is clean.
Challenges are near plastic edgings and grass/mulch. For over mulch, I'll blanch the leaves and the weeds die in a day or two, but you must be careful because wood-chip mulch will smoke and no one wants a fire.

The other day, I took this out to use it and it wasn't working. The igniter wasn't doing anything and when I used a lighter, the flame that came out was large and came out of everywhere. I'm a former firefighter, so I'm used to dealing with fire. This made me uncomfortable.
I've read of similar experiences in other reviews.
I let it cool down. When I looked at it, I found a small spiders' nest in the tip. I've read that spiders like gas, so it didn't surprise me. I used a toothpick to fish it out. When I hooked up the bottle again, it worked perfectly. The ignitor light the flame which shot like a small blowtorch.

Now I check the tip before each use.

The unit is sold as "self lighting", which, to me, implies you turn the gas on and an igniter fires, like a regular propane torch with a trigger. This does not have a trigger, and it does not self light. However, there is an igniter built into the delivery tube and it works very effectively. You get what you pay for, so it does the job nicely and for half the price of a self igniting system. But, you will have to turn on the gas and push the little button. : )

This weed burner is awesome! I no longer put off weeding. Really gets the job done. I estimate it cuts my weeding time by two-thirds. I no longer have to get down on hands/knees. I like the no-pesticide approach. Be sure to get the refillable 1LB cylinder tank, too. :: Pro-tips... When burning weeds, watch out for dry leaves/weeds. You'll start a small blaze instantly, which could easily become a bigger blaze. Keep an eye on the areas you've just weed-burned for nascent flames. Don't burn the house down. Also, don't light your shoes on fire. Just sayin'.

It didn't light right away and after looking at the design I began wondering if it was even going to work at all. It works great! You just have to let the gas run for a bit to travel the length of the tube. The igniter is nearly at the burner nozzle end. Seems to be more effective if you hit weeds at the top and work the flame down to the root. Destroys weeds in a hurry but I found grass takes quite a bit of roasting to eradicate.

Discovered this when my neighbor was out torching his weeds while I was out spraying chemicals. I assumed it was more expensive. I’ve seen the other that attached to a full sized tank and just seemed like a pain. But not this, looked light and easy. Thanks to Amazon it was at my door the next morning. It was so easy to use that I did all mine then went and started on my other neighbors house.

Installing the tank is easy and feels very secure. The whole things is easy to hold where it’s not heavy and you have great control.

When you light it don’t have the gas on full. Lights better with little gas and you can turn it up after. Though the low flame works great too.

This was also great for getting around my plants where I would not want to spray chemicals.

I picked this one for the handle as the more foam handles tend to not last. This handle looks to be much higher quality.

All in all. A real 5 star product which is hard to find these days.
