This little cup gadget did the trick. I have my hummingbird feeder on a shepherd hook, which the ants find very easy to climb and help themselves to the feeder. Originally, when I received I did not hang up The ‘ant bath’ And found an entire colony fully covering the hook had made their way inside the feeder. I removed and washed my feeder, cleaned off my Shepherds hook And replaced with both the cup and feeder - no ants made it inside the feeder.
Sidenote, I did see birds drinking the water from the container, a good gust of wind can spin the feeder around spilling the water out so it’s something you need to check and refill
every day - But anybody with a hummingbird feeder usually looks at them every day during the season so it was not a reason for any negative stars I did give 4 VS 5 on sturdiness d/t minimal wind water can splash out even when feeder is full. Excellent product.
