No more putting the brush down on the counter/multiple surfaces and leaving sticky bbq sauces everywhere. Not only can you mix up a concoction directly in the quality stainless steel container, but keeps your brush safe from debris and bugs outside if give 6 stars if I could. It even got left outside in the rain and never rusted.

Handle too short for hot grilling. Great for smoking.

This is exactly what I thought I wanted for basting when grilling. I've been using a bowl and long silicone basting brush. This cleans easy, and is very sturdy. Should work perfect except for one design flaw. If you are using it for smoking, probably won't have this problem. I've been using it on my Weber charcoal grill recently and because this handle is so short, you have to move very quickly on a very hot grill. It was almost impossible to use on my super hot grill the other day and lost all the hair on my hand.
If you getting it for smoking, buy it. If you grill very hot items, get a long handle baster. Trust me.

I bought this specifically for brushing melted and drawn butter on the tops of my homemade cat head biscuits and iron skillet cornbread. Even if you keep it in the refrigerator, just set it on the stovetop while baking and it softens nicely.
