This is the 2nd season I have used this product. I have colored stamped concrete and it does not eat into it.. dog friendly as well.

Have only used this once so far, but what I noticed right away is that it does exactly what it says it will, melted the snow/ice in a matter of a few minutes, and when the snow was all gone, there was no left over pellets or residual chemical on the sidewalk, disappears completely. Snow is almost here in Idaho so I will be using this a lot more very soon.
Update: I have used the 4 buckets of ice melt I ordered, and just received my order of an additional 4 buckets, this stuff is amazing, it works incredibly fast, sounds like bacon frying in a pan. We got dumped on this past 3-4 weeks, along with a freeze that lasted almost two weeks, this ice melt works on both the snow and ice very well, and melts additional snow that keeps falling for at least 4 to 6 hours. I especially like how there is no left over pellets, or chemical stains on our sidewalks. This is a great product. Will definitely be ordering more in the future.
Update 2020: 2nd winter using this product, like I stated before, I love this product, and this past spring/summer I noticed there was absolutely zero evidence of any chemical residue or chunks of our cement sidewalk chipping away like there would be if I were to use a different product, which I do use, just not on our cement sidewalk, I use the 50lb bags of ice/snow melt (salt) on asphalt walkways going from one building to the other, and where the forklift travels.
This product is a bit pricey, but having our sidewalk chip sealed would be $2000 dollars...every other year, I go through about 8-10 of these every winter, well worth the price. sorry for being so wordy, but I'm always glad when I have the opportunity to leave a good review.

I LOVE USING THIS SALT. I JUST BUILT A DECK WITH COMPOSITE BOARDS SO I HAD TO BE CAREFUL WHAT TO USE ON IT. ALL THE INFO I COULD FIND SAYS THIS IS OK. WHICH WAS GREAT SINCE I HAVE BEEN USING IT . THE REVIEWS ARE CONFLICTING IF IT IS PET SAFE OR NOT BUT AGAIN I HAVE BEEN USING IT AND NON OF MY DOGS OR CATS SHOW ISSUES WHEN ITS SPREAD.

Long lasting and a little goes a long way. Make sure to seal it tight though when not in use. Or it melts in the bucket.

My driveway is on the left, you can see that my neighbors have shoveled this morning’s snow too. I treated mine after I was done. Snow is already collecting on their driveways. I’ve used this for a few years, it works well. Hasn’t harmed the concrete at all.

It's just calcium chloride. I got 20 lbs of another brand for $16. There is no reason this 35 lb bucket with a fancy name on it costs as much as it does. I honestly thought there was something special about it, but there's not. It works great, but so does the cheaper stuff.
