This Florida heat has been brutal to my plants. I
Had to get some protection. This shade cloth works really well. It allows water to pass through and blocks most of the direct sun. The Material seems thick and durable and I have not had any rips. The holes make
It rather easy to set hand attach to poles or trellis. My plants did better after installing this shade cloth no burns and less dropped blooms.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shade! Nice and strong.

We bought this to shade our chickens from the harsh CO sun. The chickens love it. Seem to give them just enough light to be happy, but the shade they need to stay cool and not all crowd under the coop. We get some pretty bad winds here and so far it's held up well. So well in fact, the fence was pulled away from the post because it acts as a sail. We are going to have to find a way to hang it more above the coop so we keep the fence up and the fox out.

We use this for or garage sales spring summer and into late fall when the weather can get to 100 plus in Sacramento. It offers enough protection to allow the light in but protect the plastics under it from melting. Great product

4.0 out of 5 stars Blocks 50% of the sun. Very lightweight.
Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2024
This did what I expected/hoped with blocking some sun off my plants. The grommets and border around it seem to be pretty good. The fabric itself if very lightweight and airy. It snags on everything so you have to be careful.
My only disappointment is that the fabric is not taut enough within the borders. While we had the corners (borders) nice and tight between our posts, the fabric itself sagged quite a bit and with every tiny breeze, it floated up and down significantly. When it rained, the fabric sagged even more from just being wet.
Perhaps it's because it's only 50% blocking and because it's such airy fabric, it's not something you can pull tight. If this is OK with you, then this is a good, cheap tarp.
I'll continue to shop for something I can pull tight. Until then, it's protecting my plants nicely.

I use this product to shade my back patio garden. I’ve used competitors shade cloth from Amazon that looked more durable from the pictures, but lacked functionality because they had fewer grommets. Fewer grommets made the shade cloth move much more in the wind & made it harder to get the cloth tight.

I’ve ordered this shade cloth three times.. I’m in Florida, and it doesn’t hold up well to hurricanes, as expected.????It checks all the boxes, and gets the job done. This is my go-to shade cloth.

This product saved my garden. Iowa weather is so crazy. This summer started out wet and mild. One day the rain shut off and the sun become supper nova. Every thing in the garden was struggling until I got this stuff hung up. I am going to order more for other plants because it saved my brassicas. The tomatoes looks jelous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, as long as you understand what you are getting.

For the price, it should go without saying that you aren't getting a top of line, commercial greenhouse-grade shade cloth. But for what it is and what it costs, it's excellent. I have a few that I keep on standby to throw over sensitive trees when we get sunny days above 100 and they work great. It is a bit fragile and prone to snagging, so you're not going to want to leave it up all year long. But it WILL provide good shade. If you're looking for a durable, woven fiber shade cloth that will last you many years, you will need to drop some coin at a greenhouse supply company.

Easy to put up. Material seems a little flimsy, too thin. Hope it lasts. I’m hoping I’m wrong about it. The rings seem too weak. Color is good.
