5.0 out of 5 stars Very good value on sale

Got my E240 v2 this week. Everything about it works as advertised, and that is: very well. I like it a lot. It does appear about 80% efficient, maybe a bit more, and that's about par for these power stations due to inverters, etc.

What I don't quite get is... Why this exists if they have a E300 Plus model that looks to me to be otherwise identical. That one has 25% more capacity for a negligible increase in size or weight. (Actually, only 32 Wh difference per specs, and the 240 v2 supports emergency fast charging and noticeably cheaper.)

I caught this on a Prime Day sale and it was a fantastic value.

Some competitors have laggy touch screens with horrible viewing angles. The screen on this is very simple and very legible, with a simple push button interface which I strongly prefer.

Also purchased a much bigger brother as a home prepper pack, with solar panel given the sales. Will see how this E200 v2 responds to solar and update if it's interesting.

I already really like what I'm seeing with this one for car camping or small around the house stuff during a blackout. Very well thought out. At full price it's still pretty decent value, but with a sale it's an absolute steal.

As a seasoned camper, I've been a loyal user of the original Explorer 240 for several years. It was a faithful companion on many adventures. When I saw the new Explorer 240 came out, I knew I just have to get the new model. Let me just say this, the improvements have completely transformed my outdoor experience. Here’s why this new version is a significant leap forward:

The one-hour fast charging is a game changer! The original model took significantly longer to charge, which sometimes tested my patience during tight schedules. The new version’s ability to fully recharge in just one hour is astonishing. Sometimes, I will charge it in the diner when I have my lunches. By the time I’m done eating, the power station is back to 100%. How convenient is that! But keep in mind that you will need active the emergency charging in the App to activate the one-hour fast charging, like every time. Don’t know why they are designed like this, probably for the battery health.
When comparing the original Explorer 240 and its upgraded version, there are notable improvements in battery capacity and power output. The original model features a 240Wh lithium-ion battery, while this model has upgraded to a 256Wh LiFePO4 battery. The slightly bigger battery does make a difference in every day. I feel more secured when using this power station in outdoor. The shift to a LiFePO4 battery also enhances the longevity and safety of the device. The significant upgrade in AC power output allows me to power more demanding devices and appliances like water pump. The addition of a 100W USB-C port is particularly advantageous for charging laptops and tablets. It activates the fast charging on phones even without the phone charger.

1.0 out of 5 stars No DC8020 to USB-C adapter available.
Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2024
I'm going on an off-grid camping trip next week and was planning on powering my 12v fridge with my new Explorer 240 v2, and keeping it charged with my 100w solar panels. Sounds straightforward, right? It would be if someone at Jackery had considered that selling these new models with a USB-C only input port would cause a spike in demand for their DC8020 to USB-C adapter. No one did and it is not available at this time. I don't care how good the unit is when it is useless to me without solar charging. The Jackery website will notify me when the item is available again. Not much help when I'm in the boonies next week. If they are not going to include the adapter with the unit they certainly should have it available for purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!

I use the Jackery 240 mostly to charge my laptop in my car while I'm at work. I've also tested a few kitchen appliances to see if they would work in an emergency and they barely drained the battery. Additionally, it feels like a solid and very durable product. I'll definitely be buying more of their higher end power stations in the future!
