5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install

Purchased this to cover a Generac 7500E, and it fits perfectly. There is some assembly required, but it's simple, requiring no tools and just takes a few minutes. Assembly instructions are as clear as any I have ever seen, with large photos showing every step. The cover is a heavy material like a heavy tarp. It has velcro enclosures and tie-downs with overlap that should be sufficient to protect the Generator from the elements. I like how the top half flips open so you can refill the generator easily without removing the cover. The front flap lifts up so you can raise the handle to move the generator. It's a well-built and well-designed cover, an inexpensive protection for your investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed, great cover

I was unexpectedly surprised at the first class quality of this product. It's thick and heavy, easy to install. Our generator has to sit in the back porch year round so we wanted something to protect it from rain and snow, and sun too. The cover has been on over a year now and still in like-new condition. It's easy to access for adding gas, easy to fold the sides up. Has good, strong Velcro tabs. I expect the sun to wear it out eventually (but I think it's going to take awhile!) and will definitely buy this exact cover again when it finally does. Great product.

I do not typically leave reviews but I definitely needed to for this generator cover. Although this was a bit pricey I based my purchase off of the reviews and I am so glad I did. You definitely get your money's worth for the quality of this. The shipping was super fast and arrived a day earlier than anticipated. I am a single female and was able to set this up by myself because the instructions were so detailed and showed step by step with pictures on how to get it set up. Wish more companies would do the same. Set up did not take long at all. I love the quality of the material and seems that it will last years to come. This cover does allow you to run your generator while keeping your generator protected from harsh elements. It will also protect it while being stored when not in use.

High quality materials. Vey functional. Well designed but with a couple misses. First, no regrets buying this. It will serve us well for many years to come and provides the ventilation needed for running generators with CO sensors. Instructions to assemble were more detailed then anything I’ve come across. Nice job! Putting it together was easy. Things fit nice and tight. However I would have to say this cover is not quite designed well enough to use it as a cover for long term storage outside. Because the sides roll up, the corners are not sealed so any wind and rain can work through the sides at the corners. An easy solution would be to add vertical flaps like on top at each vertical corner and have a few Velcro tack downs for each (material doesn’t have to be as heavy). I’m glad to admit the vertical corners are pretty tight so I may retract this comment after a year if it’s a nonissue and change my rating to a 5 star.

The other thing is to lengthen the sides to get closer to the ground. If the generator is near or on dirt bark soil, there will be splash up on the generator. Ours is on a crushed rock pad so should be a minimal issue for us.

These two issues are minor. It’s clear IGAN took time to design, uses high quality materials, and well fabricated. Until those two small issues are addressed and maintain the same quality as igan, I will buy igan again.

Two small changes IGAN. I’ll be glad to be a test case for my suggested design changes. ;-)

The cover is made of high quality material and is has plenty of functionality. The way it opens for easy access to the gas tank and cover for the main panel. The hooks to hold it down for wind and the way the panels fold up for use as well as be strapped down to shield from wind and rain and dust is nice. Seems like thought was put into it. I had an issue after a year of owning it which was promptly resolved with no problems. Some of the plastic joints cracked possibly due to the material or heat and cold or who knows what. Anyways I reached out to customer service to ask what options I had to get this fixed. The response I got was amazing, they we’re concerned, apologetic, sincere and were immediately ready to help. I provided them with my address and they sent one so fast that I was confused why I had an unexpected delivery. They sent the full frame replacement with no problems. The quality of the parts seem to be better than the original joints than the initial purchase, or at least that’s how it looks and feels to me. I’m still impressed despite that small issue. I initially purchased two other brands and they were junk. The covers on them were cheap, thin, and the ability to protect anything was low and not functional. The parts those other brands provided were so badly designed and cheap I was barely able to get them built without a balancing act and two people. One generator cover brand had missing parts and extra parts so it wasn’t even a cover at the end but a Frankenstein creation. I laughed once I realized why nothing made sense and the parts list didn’t add up. IGAN,s design and easy to follow instructions with large pictures and all the parts made it way less frustrating than the other ones I tried.

I bought the Pro-Max Windproof version in silver to cover my DuroMax XP13000EH. It fits perfectly and is much heavier duty than the pictures seem to show. I took my time with assembling the cover, following the color pictorial and written instructions. It comes with tie downs and tent pegs to attach to the D rings to help hold it more securely in high wind conditions. Note for those who own the larger DuroMax generators, the gas cap is in the center. Part of the instructions relating to affixing the top state to place the side that has Velcro on the side opposite the gas cap, to make it easier to access the cap to add gas. I placed the Velcro side on the end where the pull manual start, air intake/filter, and carburetor are located the non-Velcro side is above the lift handles. Not difficult to assemble and it is quite sturdy. I do recommend this cover. I have not had the misfortune of truly testing it in a storm, but it seems like it should do the job.
