I didn't know I needed this shredder until after I used it. It is simple to put together, simple to use and easy to clean. I bought it on a whim, no reason why other than I was curious about it, would it work as advertised, would it clean easily, would it break after a few uses. Yes, yes, no.
I have used this for shredding both chicken and steak, it works on both cuts of meat, although the steak did need more twists to get it shredded enough, it was my first and not my last time having shredded steak tacos, so yummy!! I have had shredded chicken meals more in the past month than my whole life, just so I can use this shredder again and again.
It stays in place and as long as you don't overfill it is quick and easy to shred.
So easy to clean, as long as you rinse after use and don't let food dry on it. I have only handwashed mine, I just put a couple drops of dish soap and some water on it and use a hand scrubber, comes up clean and no trace of grease or any food every time.
This is so much quicker and easier to use and clean over a hand or stand mixer for shredding. Cheaper too.
