I've, thankfully not needed this product yet. I bought it just in case. We live in the country. I have 8 dogs, some strays I've taken in & we can't always rush to the vet.
My wolf hybrid got shot & it was 5 days before I was able to take him to the vet. It took him 2 days to make it home & he came home Friday night & I was very disappointed because my vet wouldn't see him until Monday, even though he was on call, but I know he has a life too. He had to have his leg amputated because it was a large caliber hunting rifle & shattered his tibia.
He had a huge exit wound, which, I was glad the bullet wasn't still in there. I buy antibiotics from the feed store & the vet said that's what saved his life. He wasn't bleeding, it had already stopped but I just want to be prepared. It also takes us a little time to drive to ER, so I bought it for us as well.
I'm assuming it works well, hopefully, & I'm glad I have it so I didn't want to take off any stars, just because I haven't had to use it. I've established a pretty thorough first aid stash & felt this could be an important addition.
