    My mare is PSSM1 so she needs a lot of fat for energy (not sugar nor carbs). Flaxseed is the best, but living in Tucson, oil spoils quickly out in the barn. I switched to these pellets (I give 4 scoops a day, double the average dose), but it works great for my 18 yo mare that I use for work as a wrangler. Just add the flaxseed to her other supplements. Great coat, and can keep up fine with younger horses.

    I was purchasing whole flaxseed from my local feed store. However, their prices went up drastically, so I was looking for an alternative and came across this brand. Although it is not whole seeds, it is ground, my horse seems to like this a lot better because it integrates in with his feed, a little easier than the whole seeds. We definitely will be incorporating this into his diet moving forward! I highly recommend!

    I have had my boy on Manna Pro flax for a number of years now and people often comment on how shiny his coat is. I use the flax supplement for its anti-inflammatory properties as well. The way this product is ground to a fine consistency makes it easy to mix with his grain so there is no waste!
