This is my favorite heating pad for my tarantulas it’s easy to stick on and use, good thick quality, and has never gotten to hot to cause issues such as melt or glass cracking. Also works on acrylic enclosures with no melting

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, easy to set up, perfect for my leopard gecko

Easy to stick underneath the tank, I keep it on at night to feel like she won’t get cold as we approach winter. She loves it and I wish I got it sooner. Does not have a thermometer but you can feel the temp yourself easily and plug/unplug at certain times for desired heat. I noticed she will “adjust” the heat herself and lay fully or partially on it. The wire from the picture is the heating pad! Was able to put it on myself but I recommend if your tank is any bigger than mine (20 gal) get some help lifting and carrying your critter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Even heating of substrate, but not air
Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2017
Put this underneath one side of my 20-gallon tank to create a warm side for my future snake. I have monitored it for the last two weeks, with about 1 inch of substrate in the bottom of the tank it has increased the temperature at the bottom of that side of the tank to about 80 F (ambient temp in my house is 68). I have not put a temperature control on it. The pad sticks well to the tank even after being partially taken off once (I initially placed it wrong, had to remove it and re-stick it). The heat output has been very steady. It's not enough to heat the whole tank, of course, but it creates a nice warm spot underneath one of the hides and just outside it, which should be good for the snake. The hide right over the pad also allows the air to heat underneath it, not just the substrate. This is the only way that the pad would be able to also heat the air, so unless you put a hide or something to trap warmed air over where the pad is, I would not recommend using this pad as the sole heat source for a reptile.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for mycology

This heating mat is perfect. I needed something more reliable for my mycology bins and this has kept it at a consistent temperature exactly as I needed it to. I use a Bluetooth sensor inside the tubs and it shows the mat has kept the container within .9 degrees over the past 36 hours which I’ve had it. This mat is a perfect affordable and reliable addition to my mycology tubs,

Smaller than I need, but my fault. I need to keep epoxy warm for crafting. I can get 4 bottles, honey, on it so that will work for now. Just need to get larger for my gallon jugs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but...

I bought this product and it constantly shuts off.. the box works.. the gadget isn't working
And with box plugged in, the thermostat pattern for the cage unplugged still reads 85 degrees or higher. With it plugged in temp is supposed to be 70 or lower and still reads abnormal.
