5.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality! My Cat Adores it!!
Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2025
TL:DR; Cute, Affordable, Easy to clean, Cat safe, Sturdy, and Fun!!

I just received this cat toy today and right out of the box it worked incredibly well. I was a little worried about its sturdiness since it moves quite quickly and was subject to hitting walls or furniture, but the rubber casing it comes in protects it very well.

My cat wasn't too sure about it at first, but after several minutes, she was obsessed! It has three modes as listed, and it was very easy to switch between each of them. She enjoyed the blue "fast" mode and the yellow "interactive" mode the most.

I also have to say, cleaning it is incredibly easy. The rubber casing comes off and is easily wiped down with water. I would not use anything other than water or vinegar diluted with water since you want it to be cat safe, but any of the dirt collected on the rubber wiped off very easily. The ball also crept its way into some tight corners and collected hair, but it was very easy and simple to remove and did not get caught in anything. For $20, I'd say this is a great product.

I will also say that if your cat is overweight or older, they might have some initial disinterest in the toy, and I'd recommend offering silver vine and catnip to them before offering the toy. It may also be jarring to your cat if you put it on the "fast" mode first, and I'd recommend the "slow" or "interactive" mode beforehand. Also, keep an eye on the toy!! I wouldn't leave it out all the time simply because the toy could turn off behind a couch or underneath something your cat might not be able to get to, and then it will be lost.

If you have a multi-cat household, I'd also recommend you to please, please get more than one!! My cat was locked into this hunter mindset even after playing with said toy, and if multiple cats are chasing the same object or toy, it can and will cause fights.

This is not a replacement for one-on-one play with you and your cat, but is an excellent overall source of enrichment when paired with treats, and is easy to offer while you make dinner or watch TV, not to mention is a great deal for the cost.

5.0 out of 5 stars It’s lively but my cats are somewhat freaked by the motor noise
Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2025
It works. It’s does creative things and makes different noises. However it has the same problem all the new interactive toys with micro motors have: the motor noise. My cats don’t like that noise. So they are interested but very cautious. Seems to hold a charge a long time. Has a slow mode which is better for them. I still gave it five stars cause it works well and there is no such thing as a silent motor for this price that can do what this does.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice toy but Cat's dont care for it.

I bought this for my two cats, One is a two-year-old try pod, and the other is a 4-month-old overly energetic and playful kitten. They both seem simi interested in it when it is off, but once it's turned on, no matter the setting, it freeks them out, and they lose interest. (* even my dogs are a bit freaked out by this toy ) I have had the toy for a month or so now and they just don't seem to care for it.
Now, on to the toy itself, it is very sturdy! This thing has wound up rolling itself down my stairwell several times, and nothing has broken it. It has three settings that work great on hardwood floors and short carpets/area rugs. The charge on it is ok; when it's not played with, it will chirp and roll around to entice play, but it will ram walls and make one heck of a sound when it does. If it is on hardwood floors, it can be quite loud when rolling around. It seems to do a wonderful job of getting itself out of odd areas. Overall it seems to be a well made toy I just wish my fur babies were more interested in it.
For all the reasons stated I have rated this at 4 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars a BLAST for kitties of all ages
Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2024
I purchased 2 of these in blue for my kitties. Within minutes of putting them together and turning them on, all of my cats were in hunting mode. Running wild around the house chasing these. They were entertained for over an hour.
    Pros:
Entertainment. Both for the cats but also humans. Especially if you have more than one going at the same time and/or more than one cat chasing.
Battery. The battery lasts quite a long time. I'd say i've gotten several hours of use in between each charge. I also love that it is rechargeable instead of battery change out. This reduces cost and adds to the ease of use.
It seems really safe. The attachment tail is a thick and durable rope. Several of my cats have chewed heavily at it and have not caused damage. I also love that it comes with a second tail attachment in the box, to trade out as necessary.

    Cons:
It doesn't run well on carpet. Luckily, only one room of my home is carpeted, so it rarely ends up in there.
Hair collection. Even if you think you have vacuumed well, the rubber outside of the toy will collect every stray fur and by the end be coated in a thick layer. A pro to this problem is that with a paper towel and temporary pop out of the tail, it's fairly simple to clean.
Sometimes they get stuck going in one direction and it's impossible to put them back on a course that doesn't keep targeting one specific corner.

On a last note, they do make a bird chirp noise every few minutes. My cats really love this.

My cats loved these so much that I also bought 2 in red. Now i run all four at once for perfect playful chaos. The kitties do not seem to have a color preference and use both the blue and red equally.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy

Keeps kitties occupied if you need them out of your hair for a bit lol. Rolls over my (eight-year-old) carpet easily. Does manage to get itself out of tight spaces, though I still block off under the bed when it’s going just because if it turns off under there and my cats decide not to go after it, that would be a hassle.

One cat loves it, the other was scared of it at first, and even now prefers to watch it from a perch above the floor. It is loud banging into walls and stuff, but has held up under the beatings. It makes a chirping sound but also a noise that sounds like a pig oinking.

I wouldn’t rate a toy based on whether my cats liked it or not, but that it seems to hold up well with use and functions as advertised. Which this does.
