5.0 out of 5 stars Update: Amazon Resolved Issue!
Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2024
Update: Product description didnt match product. This product is for kittens. I do believe it would work well for kittens, but did not for my 15lb Maine Coon. Called Amazon Customer Service and they resolved the issue. They are supposedly working on updating product description.
    THANK YOU, AMAZON!

I applied the topical solution exactly as directed by parting his hair and putting it on his skin. There was no decline in the number of fleas after the first application. I decided yesterday to apply a second dose seeing as he is almost 15lbs. Zero decline in fleas and he's scratching constantly and meowing. He's an indoor cat that got out once. Bedding was treated and still this product has NOT worked for me. I would ask for a refund, but I've used two applications. Maybe I got a bad batch. IDK, but at this point, I would NOT recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS MEDICATION DOES THE JOB. 100% ….if you use it CORRECTLY
Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2022
THIS PRODUCT UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT. Within minutes the fleas were dying and YES they are going to twitch, and flick and no they won’t like it,but that is the medication working and within a day we are down 80%. DEAD FLEAS.
Now I see alot of people complaining “it don’t work & chemical burns” that is because you are either not applying it correctly, using the whole contents,or applying it directly to open wounds.
YOU CANNOT APPLY ANY CHEMICAL TO ALREADY DAMAGED SKIN!
If the area that is needing to be treated “shoulder blades” are affected,it is better to use at the nap of the neck. I always use at the nap of the neck because they can’t lick easily & it gets distributed evenly by your cat’s natural grooming. Drys within hours and then you can pet your cat as usual.
So if used CORRECTLY and use the FULL AMOUNT per vial, you should have success.
Treat each cat in your home as well.
Do not vacuum-do not pick off fleas-do nothing until you see the fleas dead dead as all the fleas need to get iarounf the meds. If you vacuum or flick them off they will eventually get back to your cat and will not get the biggest dose of the treatment.
Do not bathe your cat until you see No sign of fleas. And DO NOT OVER DOSE. One application is plenty enough. Order two boxes and write the date one month ahead to know when to give the next dose.
100% WORTH IT. My girls are feeling much better and more comfortable and I have noticed less scratching.
Again your cat will go NUTS scratching and twitching because the fleas are DYING,they will be fine…..let them do what they do,it will calm down after a few hours.
ANNDDD we have a major infestation from the humid summer we are having,so for me to come to write this review says alot.
GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER….GET THIS ASAP.

1.0 out of 5 stars Has NO effect on fleas...**DON'T BOTHER**
Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2023
One of our cats had a flea infestation and the most common product to try first is Front Line Plus. I saw Amazon Basics had a comparable product that was supposed to be the same product for a more reasonable price. The cat was having a severe allergic reaction to the fleas and was losing hair and had open sores on her back. She was pretty miserable.

I ordered the product based on the apparent good rating and number of reviews without looking closely at the actual reviews. that was a mistake. I got the product and applied it as directed. I waited for 24 hours and kept an eye on the flea activity on her bare spot. After 24 hours, there was no effect on the fleas at all, and they just kept getting worse. I thought maybe it was just taking more time to start working. I kept monitoring the flea activity, and 48 hours, then 72 hours, then a full week passed with no change at all. I thought I had maybe not applied enough directly to her skin, or there was an issue with the dose I used, so I actually re-treated her early after about a week, and was very careful to get it all on her skin while applying it while she was sleeping. Another week passed and the fleas just got worse.

We have two other cats in the household and they started having fleas show up on them, and all three cats are indoor cats that have had no flea issues in their lifetime (10 years+). I treated the other two cats with the same product, was very careful to get it all on their skin, and the results were the same after a week. The fleas just increased in number and there was not a single dead flea to be found when combing. I ended up having to get a different topical treatment and Capstar pills to treat the adult fleas. The Capstar worked like a charm and fleas were dropping off and dying after 30 minutes to an hour. I'm not sure if the company that makes this product for Amazon is having issues with quality control, dosing, or what, but I'll never try their brand flea products again. Buyer beware.

4.0 out of 5 stars Generic Flea Stuff

I don't know. I've gotten stuff with the same chemical before and had a great response. This time not so much. I mean it still worked OK but it didn't seem to stop all my cats itching as another brand (same chemical) did before. Maybe the fleas are getting resistant. This stuff worked good enough though, it I would probably buy it again when I need it.

Great Product for My Cats! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve tried a few different flea treatments for my cats over the years, but this one really works! The Amazon Basics Flea and Tick Topical Treatment was easy to apply and my cats didn’t seem bothered by it at all. After just a few days, I noticed a significant reduction in fleas and ticks, and they stopped scratching so much. The formula is effective, and the price is unbeatable for a product that works so well. I also appreciate that it's safe for both my cats and my home environment. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable flea and tick solution!

Doesn’t work as well as brand name. Claims to kill fleas but there are fleas still present after 4 days.
