FELIWAY MultiCat is drug-free and non-sedating.
84% of cat owners saw significant improvement in conflict between cats when using FELIWAY MultiCat.
FELIWAY is supported by over 25 years of feline stress expertise and scientific research.
The diffuser continuously releases a calming pheromone analog for up to 30 days, to help comfort your cat. Simply plug into an open outlet with 4+ feet of space to diffuse, with vents pointed upright.
Safe to use - while pheromone analogs may help your cat, they won’t affect humans or other pets.
Make sure to only use a FELIWAY Diffuser with a FELIWAY MultiCat Refill (they are not compatible with other brands). To maximize effectiveness, use one diffuser per 700 sqft, replace the vial once a month, and the diffuser every 6 months.

I have two very large Tom cats. After being raised together from babies they suddenly could not get along at all! They began fighting a lot. To be fair they were experiencing a big change from a sticks and bricks home to full time travel life. They also began picking at furniture which they had never done before!! Feliway made a HUGE difference! My boys are no longer fighting, behavior issues have resolved and they are even laying on the bed together with no issues!! These pictures would have not been possible before Feliway came into our lives! We will not go without the plug ins in the future!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Seems to work

I have 2 cats that get easily annoyed with eachother. A lot of hissing when one wants to play while the other wants to rest. Some random boxing matches for no reason at all and can overall just be a little stand-offish and territorial with each other. Believe it or not, this product does seem to calm them down. It's not an instant thing. When you plug it in for the first time it will take 2 or 3 days to kick in. I don't know why, maybe it takes time for the scent to really establish itself. Once it kicks in though, it has mellowed the cats out. And what leads me to really know that is works is the fact that if I forgot to change it out and it goes empty, they once again start fighting..... It's not cheap, but it actually does work. I always keep it plugged in 24-7 and always have one or two spares on hand to switch out when one goes empty. One of these seems to last roughly 30 days or so. Really seems to be a pretty good product.

I think it has helped our four cats, they definitely have calmed down tremendously. I do notice when we need to refill that they get more aggressive and hyper. If you're on the fence about trying give it a try. The bottle does get oily but I just keep wiping it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars I believe it worked!

We have a pair of 6 month old kittens from the same litter who are closely bonded. They are great friends and love to play together. We had recently had the male neutered. He had recently recovered, and been released from his "cone of shame" when we had his sister spayed. She was wearing a soft cone that we had gotten from the vet, so she wouldn't be able to get at her incision.

We were told by the vet that her activity had to be very restricted for the first several days after her surgery, and, of course, her incision had to be protected. Since she and her brother like to play rough, we figured we would need to keep her separated for at least the first day or two post-surgery, and watch them carefully after that to make sure they didn't get too crazy, and no one got after her incision.

Naturally, the evening of the day she had her surgery, when I opened the door where we were confining her to check on her and spend some time visiting, her brother and our older cat both got into her room. I figured I would let them visit her, and see how it went. They were being sweet and calm, and, after the requisite sniffing was out of the way, they just kind of hung out in the room with us. (Her brother didn't appear disturbed by the cone, and even groomed her face a bit. He didn't act at all weird around her, or like he didn't know her.)

At bedtime, of course, my husband and I had to remove the other cats from our girl's room, since we couldn't really supervise them while we were sleeping, and she still needed to be activity-restricted. We already had a couple of Feliway diffusers, one with the Optimum formula, and one with the Classic formula, since we had had to separate the boy for a bit both before and after his neutering, which made no one happy.

Sometime during the night, the girl had gotten her soft cone inverted, so it was kind of down around her shoulders instead of around her head. Her brother completely freaked out when he saw her that morning at breakfast. He hissed and looked big and acted like we had a strange cat in the house. It was really weird. I thought maybe it was because the cone was inverted, so I flipped it up so that it was back around her head, like it had been the evening before. Nope. He was still treating her like she was a stranger and a threat. I had a recovery suit I had purchased for her, so we put that on her and took the cone off, to see if it made any difference. No joy; he was still being weird, and we were concerned he might hurt her, so we had to separate them again.

We tried periodically letting them interact again to see if he would get over it. Still no joy. By the evening of the second day, I was very concerned. He was not "getting over it". He actually hid under the bed during playtime and treat time that evening.

She seemed to have her feelings hurt that her brother was treating her this way, and her seemed very anxious and stressed. (He is already an anxious kitty - thus the other Feliway diffusers we already had running.) I decided I needed to try the Feliway Multicat formula to see if it might help. Of course, I realized this an hour too late to pick up a vial at my local pet supply store, but I was able to order one on Amazon for delivery the next morning.

The package came on time, and, shortly after I got up, I brought it in, and plugged in the Multicat vial. Over the course of the day, our boy seemed to gradually calm down. I wouldn't say he was interacting with his sister normally yet, but he was not acting like he was afraid of her, or treating her like a stranger, any longer. As long as we had to separate them at night or when we were out, he would be weird again for a few minutes when they were together again in the morning, but he would get over it pretty quickly.

We're now a week out from her surgery, and, even though she's still in the recovery suit for a few more days, her brother is back to treating her like a member of the family, and not like we brought some kind of alien in the house. Sanity has been restored.

I knocked a star off on value for money because the refill vials are expensive, almost as expensive as buying a new diffuser kit. I don't think the refill vials should be that expensive. It doesn't provide much incentive to buy a refill, vs. throwing away the diffuser and just buying a new kit when you need one. Not very economical, nor environmentally friendly, Feliway. I would have knocked off a couple of stars on value for money, but Amazon was offering the vial at a discounted price, and the product did work.

These products are expensive, and I hope not to need them indefinitely, but, they did help us and our kitties get through a crisis.

5.0 out of 5 stars As Effective As Feliway Happy Family
Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2024
I have always purchase the “Feliway Happy Family” where I find it to be effective since I have three cats where two doesn’t get along, I feel my cats are much more calm having this pheromone plugged in the house.

However, it is pricey though so I decided to get this one “Feliway Multicat Happy Cats” that cost less by $10 which is also as effective in calming all three of my cats allowing them to be in the same area without hissing or hiding from each other.

If there is any type of back order, I know that I can get either items. It is a small size and easy to install simply by plugging into the outlet in areas that your cats tend to stay. The cats has distinct nose that allow them to smell the pheromones.

Some folks swear by this product but I've heard mixed results. However that's not the reason for my rating as different cats may react differently (or not at all).

I have a multi-cat, multi-pet, multi-foster household and they all mostly get along. I have one cat with FIC (stress issues) but unfortunately this does not help her. That's not a problem. One problem is proper coverage requires one diffuser per, I don't know, maybe 150-200 sq ft which adds up and gets expensive. Two, I like many people, especially pet owners, have air purifiers with HEPA filters. So the combination of any HEPA filters and air-dispersed pheromone diffuser may just counteract the effect. That's not Feliway's problem though but worth noting. Third, the bottles should be shaped in a way to utilize a much product as possible. Given the flat bottom shape, there's a bit of liquid leftover. While this may be penny-pinching, this is not cheap.

If this product worked for me, I would still buy it but may discontinue use given my cat that I mainly bought this for, does not get any notable value. I have had great luck with a name-brand pheromone calming collar. Highly recommend that.
