I have an older dog who is also a picky eater. It's becoming more important to find products to entice her to eat now that she is up in age. These are a life saver! You can feed a few pieces as a treat or to stimulate appetite before meal time. You can mix into other canned or dried food. You can crumble and sprinkle over a bowl of food. Or you feed an entire bowl of just this at a time. I tried rehydrating the pellets but my pup seems to prefer them in the dehydrated kibble form. She never turns these away! Pricey but worth the cost. The best part is, even the crumbles and dust at the bottom are useful - just sprinkle over a bowl of food.
The smell is not horrendous and the size of the kibble is great for medium/large dogs. Very easy to break apart by hand if you so desire.
I've tried a few different brands of freeze dried products but the Stella & Chewy Meal Mixer (Chicken especially) is by far my pup's favorite. The quality is great and very consistent time and time again.
