I love these, I got them for when I go out of town and love them. The timers work flawlessly, they look so sleak, far cleaner and easier to use then many others I've had, they are not cheaply made and fit smaller tanks pretty well but 55 gallon and up you might have to notch you rim a bit for them to fit. I'd love to see these with w notched clamp to better fit rimmed and rimless aquariums. I would recommend granular food or crushed flakes to avoid any problems.

I purchased this to feed the fish while on vacation. I have not stopped using it. It will go a long time on a charge. Easy to fill and adjust.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good

Pros- The device itself is great. I like that it's easy to feed the fish when I'm away. If you feed flakes, this becomes a little tricky as they cling to the inside, but it seems enough can still come out. Battery lasts for a while. It's very quiet, the fish didn't even know the food was in the first time I used it and they were surprised! It's a good size and can hold a good amount of food, or have enough space to mix different kinds.

Cons- I wish it had a Velcro adhesive so it could be removed to charge, or even to adjust how it sits on the tank. The clamp didn't work for my tank so I used the adhesive, but now the cord is too short to charge from there and I can't remove it with ruining the adhesive. Also, I would've loved to have been able to move it slightly. I did test it before sticking it but I must've not put it exactly where I test it because some food missed the tank.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my larger tank with lots of hungry mouths!

I love this feeder! My tank has about 40 small to medium fish, a few varieties of freshwater shrimp, and lots of snails to clean up any leftovers. The feeder was easy to charge and was easy to attach to and remove from my fish tank. My tank has the lip for a glass top, but I don't use the glass top. I was afraid that the lip would get in the way, but the clamp is designed well and even has the ability to swivel slightly to handle uneven surfaces. I generally feed every two days. I've been testing the feed port. The smallest port is a little too small for my fish kibbles (5mm size pellets) and they get caught, dropping only one or two pieces during a spin, and lodging themselves into the port mouth. The next size up is a little too large, dumping a lot of food, about 25 pieces of 5mm pellets. If you don't have many fish or a good cleanup crew in the tank, you could end up with a polluted tank. Two solutions: Break those food pellets into smaller pieces and use the smaller port, or set the timer to 48 hours to reduce the number of feedings. I used a piece of painter's tape to make sure that little port door stays positioned. The little plastic catch hasn't given me any trouble but doesn't feel secure, and I don't want to risk it opening or closing while I'm away. One concern: I was afraid that as the supply of pellets reduced in the tube, fewer would come out of the port, because the feeder sits level and from the listing photos, I didn't see a gravity mechanism to help push the pellets out. But there IS a little L shaped catch shelf inside the tube, designed to capture pellets and encourage them down the tube toward the port opening, even when the feeder is perfectly level. I also like this low-tech version, where your only options are choosing 12, 24, or 48 hour turn cycles. (Also a manual option). As soon as you hit the button, the feeder goes through its first spin and the timer starts. Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fish Feeder
Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2024
We decided to buy this auto fish feeder about a week before our vacation in order to make sure it worked properly while we were gone. It was very easy to set up. The easy sliding feed door allows you to decide how much food you want to dispense. It worked properly each day and we came back with all of our fish being happy :). My only concern is that when you attach this to top of tank, you have to open up part of your lid on aquarium (if you have one), in order for the food to dispense into the water. I was concerned with one side of the lid being open that a fish might be able to jump out (this does happen sometimes unfortunately). So I had to come up with makeshift lid for that portion of aquarium top to leave open just the amount needed for the dispensed food.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works great, but very sketchy charging
Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2023
These work great but I've had 4 of them now and all have been unable to charge at all or super fussy about charging. They all have come fully charged or nearly fully charged and will work weeks if not months on that charge which is great. But all of them are just about impossible to get to take a charge. Multiple cables, multiple chargers etc, nothing works. I returned two of them and still have two that I was able to get to charge after a lot of fiddling.

The thing is the battery life on these is so good and they seem to come fully charged, so I suspect people may not even notice that they can't get it charged for a year or more down the road. It's a bummer as they really do work well, are dead quiet and can be used forever without worrying about the battery.

5.0 out of 5 stars This works great.

This feeds my fish a measured amount of their flake food twice each day at set times. Far more consistent than manual feeding where times can vary greatly. Combined with the lights controlled by a smart plug, a week or more away on a trip is no problem.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very reliable, flake food not great
Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2023
I’ve been using this for 3 months now on a regular basis and there are some positives and a negative. Positives first, I have only charged this the day I received it and it’s still fully charged after daily use. Insanely good batteries and I don’t worry about it dying when out of town. Second, I love the ability to set 4 different scheduled feeding times. For my tank, feeding 4 times a day is way too much.

The bad, I use flake food and if I leave the feeder unattended for 7-10 days I notice mold beginning to grow inside. I don’t understand where all the moisture is coming from but it consistently happens. When it does happen, obviously the food isn’t being dispensed. I may switch to pellets but I assume moisture in the food container will still be a problem.
