About this item

Smart APP Control: Wi-Fi fully automatic dog feeder is 5GHz and 2.4GHz WiFi-enabled allowing you to program your pet's meals anywhere anytime through the PETLIBRO App on your iOS or Android smartphone.
Never Miss A Meal: Easily schedule up to 10 meals per day and 1-48 portions per meal (1/12 cup each portion) with the Wi-Fi automatic cat feeder, you can easily customize your furry friend's feeding plan and check the feeding records to ensure your cat has been fed on a set schedule by the APP.
Personalized Meal Call: Record a voice message for up to 10 seconds that plays for each feeding, and freely set the times the meal call play, so your pet can feel your care even when you're not at home. Not only that, but the thoughtful automatic cat food dispenser provides you with the ability to record up to 10 customized meal calls and adjust the volume to your needs!
Freshness in Every Bite: Patent rotor in the tank base and twist-lock lid of the automatic pet feeder prevent pets sneaking into the food dispenser for extra food. Built-in desiccant bag and sealing strip keep food fresh and crunchy. Food-grade stainless steel bowl provides healthy and hygienic feeding, saving your pets from chin acne.
Smart Notifications and Indicators: Your phone receives notifications and the machine’s indicators also lights up red when the food tank of the cat feeder automatic is empty, food gets jammed, the battery is low, or has other problems. The infrared sensor keeps checking and stops food dispensing if the food outlet is blocked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up, even portions, great wifi reach. Overall, love it!

Incoming lengthy review so here's the TLDR/most important stuff to note:
- Easy machine set up
- 2.5 & 5G with great wifi reach for app access
- Dual power source with a lengthy adapter and option for 2 or 3 D batteries (batteries are not included, but not both at the same time are required)
- Large food tank that dispenses 2-15mm sized kibble, and a window screen to see how full the tank is
- Portions are super accurate (try manually dispensing a few times to make sure your machine is the same)
- Desiccant bag for freshness (Slight con: these have to be replaced & bought separately every 2 weeks so it can add up. 1 is included in your order.)
- EASY app interface, with easy set up
- Scheduled feedings, with customization for a certain time and portion per scheduled feeding
- 1/12 fraction system, but easy to convert online if you Google it (i.e. 1/4 cup = 3/12 cup)
- Alerts for when desiccant bag needs changing and when there's a blockage
- Manual feeding option with choice of portion size at the touch of a button
- Meal call set up so you can call to your pet with either their standard voice set up OR you can record a voice recording so they hear your voice!

So I finally decided to pull the trigger on getting an automatic dry food feeder to better suit my schedule. And I gotta say, if you're looking for one... this is it! Setting up the machine is simple, and the cord for plug in power is a decent length -- and YES, it's also battery operated! (2 or 3 D batteries) It's always nice to have a fail safe, so you can use one or the other based on your preference. The inner mechanism for dispensing the food has not clogged at all for me, and I was feeding my stinky with Instincts Raw which includes slightly larger pieces of Rabbit hide. I was worried it wouldn't dispense, but nope! Everything runs smoothly. (Which is good because those are her favorite pieces) I also tested the portions with the Manual feeding option just to make sure the fractioned portions I wanted were correct, and those were on point as well.

The app has to be the real selling point for me here. It's so simple to set up -- no crazy mumbo jumbo to go through just to get a schedule set. If you look at my screenshots, you'll see how clean the interface is. I was able to set up the exact time I wanted a feeding, and you can schedule multiple feedings a day. With those scheduled feedings, they go by a 12th fraction system. That can be a little confusing at first if you're not familiar with fraction conversions, and you're trying to be precise with your little one's calorie intake, which is what I'm doing. But a simple google search of "1/4 cup to 1/12 fraction" will pull up a handy calculator so you can get the right portions! You can also set different portions for the different scheduled times as well. You can get super personal with it -- INCLUDING adding meal time calls. I added a voice recording calling her name since she's so used to a human getting her attention by pouring her food. Even with me sitting next to her, her ears perk up and she RUNS if she hears the machine calling her name lol... I absolutely love the alerts this app sends to your phone as well. It notifies you if the food bowl happens to be too full to fully dispense the portion listed for the schedule. Once it's cleared (by a human, or your creature happens to start scarfing it down) it'll also notify you of that! Also, there's alerts for the desiccant bags when they need changing after 2 weeks. These keep the food fresh inside the tanks and helps control moisture, so it's necessary. I'd have to say that's my ONLY con. $15.99 for a 4 pack, and I don't believe there's an option for a larger pack, so really you'd be buying these every 2 months -- which, to some, is not even that bad. But I'm horrible with remembering stuff, so I'd say just subscribe to get them shipped to you automatically.

SO in conclusion -- yeah. This was the best purchase I've made so far this year on Amazon. I have nothing but great things to say about this product, and I really hope you pull the trigger on it, too!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great upgrade for my cat (and me!)
Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2024
We have been using a automatic cat feeder for several years. We bought our first feeder here at Amazon a few years ago. It really helped us keep a heathy schedule for feeding our cat, and worked great if we had to go out of town for a day trip.

But it was time to upgrade. The battery backup on the old unit wasn't always perfect (it would lose its programming for some reason). And the plastic feeding bowl was not ideal. We wanted a new unit that had a companion app, so I wouldn't have to lay down on the floor to re-program the feeding schedule.

This Petlibro was perfect! We opted for the non-camera version, since we already have a Wyze camera facing the feeder that we use if we go out of town. But all the other features included are great!

The app works great. Easy to use, and very helpful for programming and adjusting the feeding schedule. And it has a history log which shows each time the feeder is activated (either by your schedule, or manually). This makes it easy to reference our Wyze camera recordings, when we want to make sure kitty got her food as expected.

The stainless steel bowl is a nice upgrade for us. And the visible area of the food storage is nice to see when the food is getting low. The app will also send a notification when the food level gets low.

We are very pleased with this upgrade. And we will continue to stay loyal to Petlibro for other products!

4.0 out of 5 stars PetLibro Upgraded WIFI Pet Feeder
Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2023
UPDATE: Who knew?! I finally, just today, discovered the all but hidden slot that actually locks the feeder bowl to the main base. I couldn't figure out for the life of me why a feeder would be designed without locking the bowl into position. Well, I happened to stumble across a demo video today which I hadn't seen before that showed the bowl apparently being hooked into the base. So, I went to investigate on my feeder. Well, it's hard very small and set back a little farther back than you would expect, and hard to see on the bottom underside of the black base but once I picked up the base unit, laid it on its side and really looked for it, there it was, eureka! The one thing that really drove me crazy about the feeder is no more. My cat, no matter how aggressively she goes after her kibble, will no longer be able to move her bowl away from the base unit. Yahoo! Now, I am totally satisfied with this feeder. I am therefore raising my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

I purchased this feeder back in October. Initially, I had some issues with this unit. The battery compartment in the original base had springs that were the wrong size rendering the battery backup function unusable. But PetLibro stood behind its product and replaced the faulty base. Problem solved. I just had another issue with the notification function in the app not working properly and, although I had to go through two different customer service representatives, I finally got that issue fixed as well. The fact that PetLibro stands behind its products and follows up on active customer service cases is a huge plus in its favor, huge. You just don't see actual customer service much anymore. Although I had a rocky start, I now wouldn't hesitate to purchase another PetLibro product in the future.

The unit, which is now fully functional, is great. My kitty is all about food and cannot self regulate her eating. I already had gotten a PetLibro non WIFI feeder back in the spring. I decided to upgrade in order be able to virtually monitor the feeder functions from my tablet. This newer WIFI has a low food warning, so you don't have to manually check the food reservoir frequently, a tighter, better closing lid (better to keep critters out), the ability to provide snacks and change meal times/sizes remotely without having to touch the physical unit itself (which is much easier and less of a hassle) and it also enables you to increase/ decrease the volume on announcements. The food reservoir has a nice large capacity. I've had zero issues with kibble jamming up the despenser mechanism. The app itself is a little rough around the edges and does need some improvements. The interface is somewhat clunky and primitive both in appearance and layout but I get the impression that the company is working on that. The one thing I really think needs to be improved on the feeder is the design of the food bowl. It doesn't lock into place and is too easily nudged out of position sometimes causing food to be dispensed on the floor rather than in the bowl. But, overall, it's a very good WIFI enabled feeder. It's owner and kitty ???? approved.
