There's a reason that the tubings entry point is so tight… The reason being that the tubing is plastic/small for a better fit and fewer leaks...
Your standard deluxe silicon tubing is wider for easy fitting, but eventually it starts leaking water because it won't stop stretching... I should know, that's why I purchased this plastic tubing as a replacement…
So... to fix the issue with the tubing being so small/tight because it's plastic, and to help others having issues installing, I'll give you step-by-step instructions/plus a video attached:
Note: Make sure you're tubing and the nozzle/nipple of your air stone or air pump/sponge bio filter, is completely dry for easy fitting/installation:
1) Pinch an inch right above the tip of the tubing.
2) While the tubing is still being pinched above the tip of the tub, start pushing it onto the nozzle/nipple end of your air stone or air pump. Pinch and push/pinch and push.
3) Stop pinching the tubing at this point.
4) Now, turn the tubing from left/right while pushing down on the nozzle/nipple for a tighter fit…
That's it, you're done...
Great thick tubing by the way....
I recommend this product for its length/affordability/tightness…
