Helpful for de-shedding short hair dogs prior to baths.
If you have a long hair dog and want to use this - give them a haircut beforehand.

Our dogs are pretty skittish around electric equipment, but after a few times of using this, they love it... especially when you hit their sweet spots first.

Be cautious of a few things:
    1. Think of it like back scratching.
    2. Applying too much pressure can do more harm than good.
    3. Hitting the same spot for too long can pull out too much fur and irritate tissue and muscles.
    3. Setting the drill at too high a speed can let it get away from you, if you have an adjustable drill, use a lower torque setting to help keep it from being harmful. Be aware of pets ears or collars, or anything that may roll up in the brush.

As long as you're mindful of your pets, this can be a very useful tool. We use it prior to bath time and if they've rolled around in the dirt/grass all day.

It has also significantly reduced the amount of fur that ends up in the tub.

Overall, the pets like it, the wife loves it, and I'm glad I got it. It appears to be built to last a lifetime.

This works great for my dogs. You do need to be careful and not sit one spot too long or press too hard as you can risk pulling out their hair or causing a burn but as long as you pay attention it works awesome. I wouldn't suggest using it on a long haired dog though as I could see how hair could get tangled in the brush if it's too long.

My dog enjoys getting brushed and using this attachment to a drill gets a lot fur off in a short amount of time.

Jury is still out, but after 10 minutes, it did a decent job. Will have to play with it a bit more, get the speeds right, set some pb on a bone for my husky to chill, and then see how deep I can go under the coat. My first impression is it grabbed the loose and mostly top. I tried reversing the direction to see the difference, and again, not bad. Don't expect to deshed your pooch with this thing, I can assure you that ain't happening. But it may get you half way there, maybe. I see this more as assitance for maintenance.

The angle of a standard handheld drill makes it interesting, I may try a straight handle held drill and see if that makes a difference. My husky didn't mind the drill sound much, so I didn't have to contend with that. Plus, he liked the brush overall as I brushed some spots that gave him the shaky shaky scratch reflex.

The design is solid enough where I think it will last. Simple design, rounded brush about 4 inches long, with a hole and a 6-6.5 inch lag bolt through it. Time will tell how the bristles hold up to my husky. Pulling off the hair from the brush once I was done was not hard either, just pulled.

Overall, not a bad purchase. Cost wise, eh, I would want a few dollars cheaper. You could make this cheaper if you found the right brush and put a lag bolt through it..

5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfect for what its designed for

Does exactly what its supposed to do. Makes working the hair on cattle legs much faster. We use it all over the body, once they learn what it is they love it. No idea why so many negative reviews are passing review and being posted because its not working for someones dog. Its neither designed or sold as a product for dogs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for every horse

This works well and have seen it used on large draft horse’s shedding their winter coat. But the bristles are too stiff for my Thoroughbred’s summer coat.
Wish it came with different bristle options because it is an amazing idea.

This is awesome and the horses love it! It is soft enough not to hurt them but stiff enough to get the hair and deep dirt. I can even use it on their legs... Careful, don't get it caught in their mane or tail!! :)
