Worked better than the cone of shame

When my 9 month old kitten had surgery, she came home wearing the ubiquitous cone of shame. Poor little thing really struggled to eat and drink. I thought I'd try this and am so glad I did! She was fully able to eat and drink without my assistance - and bonus, she looked adorable running around sporting this pink frosted donut! With sprinkles. (I had also ordered a couple of those "onesies" but she went under the table and promptly took it off, but she was fine running around with the donut!) I recommend this for anyone whose kitty is having difficulty with the cone. Caveat though - depending upon where the surgery took place, she might still be able to reach the stitches, while the cone prevents all access. My kitten was spayed, so her stitches were in the abdominal area. She was unable to reach them.

My dog did not like the cone from the Vet at all. He could not see well, eat or drink and kept bumping into everything. He looked terrified, depressed, with the cone. I ordered BENCHMATE. The size guide for BENCHMATE is not accurate, and I returned the first one because it was too small. BENCHMATE accepted the return, and I ordered a larger one. It worked perfectly. My dog could see, eat, drink and acts, walks normally with it on him. He doesn't back away when I put it on him. I think he likes it when he sleeps, because it acts as a pillow. i highly recommend this product.

Best Donut for Dobbie's

I typically don't write reviews but thought this items needed it specifically for Doberman owners! I was on the search for a donut for my doberman puppy who had just gotten her ears cropped. Due to her slim neck almost every donut I came across I had a hard time deciding because there were no reviews on a Doberman use. I bought a couple at some pet stores and all were too big around the neck area...

First donut I bought was a Medium, I measure her neck and went base on the measurement chart but when it arrived, the donut fit great around the neck area but was TOO SMALL AROUND. My puppies was 20 lbs at the time. My puppy having long legs was able to still reach her ears and scratch which was something I was trying to avoid... So, I returned it and went with a Large, which is what you see in the picture. We used a smaller collar to help secure it and did the job! She roughed played with my Rottie a lot and the donut was good until her ears healed and we were able to take it off.

My dog had surgery.he deals with the cone okay. But its hard for him to move around in the crate.So I wanted to get something better. I searched so hard y'all. I seen target reviews that liked this one so I got it. My boy is bad, so he can slip out of it if he wants. Maybe it's too big, I got a large and he is 35 pounds. But when I'm with him and he is in the crate he doesn't try, he can chew his bone! He sleeps on it like it's his pillow, I'm happy. worst case it can be his day time cone, or when I'm around,and I can do the reg cone when I'm gone or sleeping. It's a nice break, and he seems happy. This works for me.

Good Quality Inflatable Donut Collar

Purchased this to use instead of the cone of shame after my pup Rollo got neutered couple weeks ago. It’s a Medium. He is a mini multigenerational Australian Labradoodle that weighs about 15lbs. He wears a collar that’s 10”-15” I think. His actual neck measurement is about 11”. The collar fit him well. I had to push it to get his neck to pop into it but it was not too tight at all. Actually perfect. I did not run his collar thru the loops but they’re on there if you choose. He could not get it off once the Velcro strap was connect around the outside. So THIS COLLAR DID NOT STOP him from LICKING himself. He’s got a pretty long body and is very flexible. However, I did not want to by a cone and use it. It did act as a deterrent though. Although he could still reach to lick the incisions, he did not do it nearly as frequently as when he had nothing on. Vet’s office said usually a couple gentle corrections is enough to deter a dog from licking or bothering the incisions (barring any unforeseen irritations from infections or such I presume). This Was Not the case for my Rollo. With it on his neck though, he only required a few NO’s each day. Without wearing it he was constantly trying to get at the two incisions. I did look into getting a larger size but the diameter of the inflatable donut part is the same no matter the size. So we just stuck it out with this one. Also good to know that I blew it up just one time, the first time. I did not have to add more at any point because of leaks etc. If your dog is flexible and has a long body, this likely will not be a 100% effective cone alternative. He was very comfortable, took lots of naps and wore it 24/7 for 8 days. He was still able to play with his toys, sleep, eat & drink while wearing it. I pushed his collar down below the donut and kept donut up higher on his neck. This also made it possible to connect his leash for going potty outside. It has a soft cover over on it so it’s not just plastic directly touching him and I guess it offers some protection from chewing. I did not rate the Chew Proof. He never chewed on it or tried to. He initially tried to push it off with his back paws but it lasted maybe 2 mins max. He did scratch at the area below where it was placed on his neck but nothing excessive. This did not puncture/hurt it at all.

The greatest in the world easy use easy to wash easy to put on easy to take off great job to the inventors of this product helped keep my dog happy during her recovery she was able to eat she was able to drink she was able to play she was happy not sad she got excited to put it on no more cone of shame when they wear the cones it's very depressing they need to stop making cones and make more of these pillows for our animal babies. We tried many items to help keep our girl comfortable. Finding something to comfortablely fit a 160lb female is harder then I expected! This did the trick. The cone she came home in was a total disaster. With this she was able to see when walking. She could eat and even fit through the doggie door.
There were no issues with her trying to lick her surgical site.
