5.0 out of 5 stars Red Ear Slider Turtles loved them, but……

First…My Turtles loved the treats, but my turtle treats did not float, they sank to the bottom of the tank. When my turtle tries to eat them it took a little bit to get ahold of the treats, when the turtles did get the yummy treats, the treat materials disbursed everywhere in the tank making a small cloud of the ingredients in the treats. Maybe a small suggestion to the company, make those treat a little smaller. On Amazon description it states “Nugget” size. Maybe make them pellet size, a tad smaller. Maybe then they’ll float. (As I stated my nugget size treats did not float, they sank to bottom of tank). But the company did nail it on the flavor. My turtles love the flavor.

5.0 out of 5 stars It does sink- but stays compressed!

So these are pretty cool. I bought them on a whim. They’re meatball sized balls of compressed food stuff. They don’t have anything visibly creepy crawly on them. They stay floating for a little but once fully saturated, they sink right down. Doesn’t bother my slider at all. They have zero issue eating sinking treats. Turtles poop a lot anyway- so I personally don’t mind if a treat is “messy” because they need frequent tank water changes. But this treat stays compact/compressed even once it’s saturated, sunk, and being bitten at!

5.0 out of 5 stars Yummy for Turtle

Timmy, the turtle loves these. My kids love to feed them to him. They called them poop balls, because they smell like that. No wonder the turtle loves them.

These don't float. They also made a giant mess in the tank and a horrible smell afterwards.
The turtles did love them but at what cost.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awkward size
Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2024
Turtle went right after it, he loves shrimp. but the size of the treat is a bit awkward and I'm worried it might be a choking hazard. My adult RES was able to eat a good-sized treat in about 30 seconds because he broke it in half immediately. dirties the water quite a bit. my turtle seemed to really enjoy it though.

1.0 out of 5 stars They do not Float
Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2024
I bought these for my sick turtle so they can float around the tank and if he felt like it he could nibble on them he put them in they just sink to the bottom then they fall apart in the tank and make a huge mess not recommended at all. not to mention it's false advertisement if you say something floats it should very very dissatisfied and happy customer

5.0 out of 5 stars Red ear slider loves them
Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2024
My baby Red ear slider loves the treats . I did notice that at the next two feeding he refused to eat I gave him some more treats and he ate it . I would definitely recommend giving your turtle a treat once a month . My turtle will eat new food and won’t go back to his pellets. Therefore he avoids eating if it’s not what he wants. The trick to getting him eating ,is to skip a day or two of meals and he will get hungry enough to go back to his routine. (That’s just anyone who has a stubborn /picky new turtle
