Masters of Blues Guitar lets you carefully analyze 10 original artist recordings of classic blues hits: 'Statesboro Blues' (The Allman Brothers Band), 'Smoking Gun'(Robert Cray), 'Early In The Morning' (Buddy Guy), 'The Thrill Is Gone' (B. B. King), 'Hide Away' (Freddie King), 'Boogie Chillen' by John Lee Hooker, 'Cherry Red Wine' (Jonny Lang), 'Crossfire' (Stevie Ray Vaughan), 'Hoochie Coochie Man' (Muddy Waters), and 'Back Door Man' (Howlin’ Wolf). These authentic blues standards help you learn to play blues guitar from modern blues/rock to blues fingerpicking techniques with roots in Delta blues. Get Instant Feedback as You Play Along

With a microphone connected to your computer and a guitar in your hands (or a patch cord connecting your guitar and computer), you can get Interactive Feedback that shows when you play the correct notes as you progress through any song featuring the 'ear' icon in the upper right corner. The computer will highlight the notes for you in green. Performance Evaluation highlights correctly played notes in melodic lines and solos. The notes are highlighted in green, yellow, or red depending on whether the correct note, a nearby note or a far off note was recognized. It also gives you an overall score.

You have the ability to loop song sections plus variable-speed MIDI, which lets you slow down or speed up the guitar tracks. Blues leads, riffs and simplified rhythm guitar parts provide blues guitar lessons for multiple skill levels and interests. 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent tab and tools.

I’ve used other animated song tablature. This is the only one that has tab synced to the actual recording that I am aware of. This allows you to learn the song as recorded much faster. It also uses midi sound to allow you to slow down the speed. The tab is also very accurate. I am very pleased with the product.

I bought the disc and it would not load. When I called the maker, they said the disc will not work, to download it from their webpage. They should not be selling a disc that does not work. There are so many sources for the same on the net, especially youtube, not worth it, in my opinion

4.0 out of 5 stars It's a cool app.

Okay, I saw the one star, asked some questions and never saw a response so I bought this off the emedia website. I have to say the software is cool. Actually the one-star review was wrong, as it's NOT all MIDI.

It uses the original music tracks from the artist albums. It only uses MIDI when you want to slow the part down SUPER slow. Which is really helpful as all the string bending stuff in blues guitar is HARD. And to answer my previous question, it DOES show all the whacky string bending note stuff on a guitar neck that plays along with the music. I don't read music very well, so this is really helpful. Sure, it could be better (most things can), but this is really useful software for me.

OH! And they even have some simplified chord-only versions for wimps like me who can't bend strings just yet.

This item is not worth it, poor quality software it uses midi to play the scores and also has an option to listen to the original track while the score lights the notes. UI is too primitive. The software is useless
