From my 4th-grader:
I like these three games.
1 Kitchen Brigade, there is no timing, that is great. Sometimes they have hearts (a form of timing) for how long the people are going to last without getting fed food. Sometimes it is a challenge, which I like. I would give this particular game five stars.
2 Cooking Academy 1 and 2, there is timing, I don't like that. You've got to sometimes slice the food. Sometimes I don't like that part either. I am giving it four stars.
For all of the games, if you don't have a good mouse, don't buy it.

From his mom: The Cooking Academy Compendium includes 3 games. Cooking Academy 1 & 2 my son found rather frustrating but he was determined to get through them - and did! Each menu requires certain prep work which is very micro-managed by the supervisor. The timer always runs out way too soon. Doing the prep work (like slicing) was plain difficult, as the Player has to slice RIGHT on the line. I liked that he learned about food from many other cultures. But, overall the learning was not worth the feelings of defeat the Cooking Academy games caused. Kitchen Brigade is much more fun than the other two and a game worth purchasing. The Player sees the whole kitchen and organizes the food prep, even delegating to assistant chefs, with the goal of satisfying the customers. It is challenging, but a fun challenge.

Love playing these, what I call, Hustle on your Feet games! This reminds me of Flo's Diner series. Really fun and the customers are pretty tame as compared to Flo's customers. But they are comical and fun, especially when you get to serve them burnt food. Good thing I don't work in the food service industry!

Not a time management game. Pointless, repetitive and boring.

It's awesome! Came right on time and I play them over and over again. Time first one is outdated and slow. But it is to be expected from the very first game. The others are up to speed and flow well. I am satisfied with my care lol.
