Great Check Writing Program!

I just installed this program, printed my first checks with it and found it very easy to install and use. It will print a stub copy below the actual check which was a relief to know, as I didn’t see that in the listing detail, but “assumed” it did. The blank checks for this are available on Amazon as well. I’d recommend it for simple check printing. It does keep a check register as well that you can print out.

The carriers have a tape to keep the check in place. After printing the tape sticks to check and tears the check. I made my own carrier from a single plain sheet of 20# stock. Once you can print a sample, adjust the print area to the center of page. I went to default settings and used an X offset of -50, and a Y offset of 100. Print the sample at that location. Place check face up with 2 pieces of double stick Scotch Magic tape on the back of check toward the top of check and toward the ends. Trace a line around the check for placement on the next check the next time. The Scotch tape is much cheaper than the junk carrier and it works better. This was used on my HP LaserJet printer.

Complex Interface and Settings

I purchased the product for PERSONAL, HOME USE. The software is installed quickly. However, the user interface is complex and not intuitive. Despite a combined effort in person-hours (three people over two days) of 15 hours, we were unable to configure the software to simply print the Check Fields and NOT extra lines or information. I wanted to have the date on the check(s), a name added to the "Pay To" frame, without Lines under the text, a numerical dollar amount in the proper frame, without lines under it, the text dollar amount under that without lines under it. I have no idea how to get a refund, but I will definitely remove the software and absorb the "loss" as a mistake on my part.

I purchased this to print checks to be filled in by hand. There is no manual, but tutorials which are very specific and did not answer my questions. Print Check Pro allows you to move your name & address, the bank's name and address and gives you the choice of business, standard wallet or mailable wallet forms. There is no option to move the items on these forms e.g. date, amount of the check, written amount or signature line. The standard wallet form works for me but not the best and the mailable wallet leaves a lot of space for the recipient's information and therefore crowds the rest of the check.
I will use it but will continue to look for something better.

My legacy Software was never upgraded to Windows 10/11 and I delayed replacing it because of the difficulties I had years ago setting up and designing the checks. I finally discovered Print Checks Pro after many hours of reading reviews of SW that promised but didn’t deliver results. I’m delighted with the easy design tool and ease of use. If I could give this SW 10 Stars, I would be doing it now. Had a question regarding adding my Signature file to be printed on the check, opened a ticket, received a prompt response, and presto, in business. Thank you, Print Checks Pro.

This works. It takes a little time to get familiar with the program, but when you are familiar, it does what they say it does. I was a little disappointed that you cannot fill out the deposit slips on the computer, but that is a minor. issue. We use the software to write both pre-printed business and personal checks, and that's why we bought it. In that regard, it works very well. Customer support was both prompt and very helpful too. Getting familiar with the program, however, does take a little time and effort.
