5.0 out of 5 stars An actually secure VPN - in my opinion better than ProtonVPN

They don't keep logs and have quantum secure modes - I trust them more than I trust ProtonVPN.
The app is also available on F-Droid, which is a big plus.
Their price strategy is that their price always stays the same and they do not offer discounts or specials.
Very helpful technical support that's willing to help in detail.

I wouldn't pick this VPN for streaming but it's great for privacy. I always use this service when on Public WIFI to protect my data. Company has many locations and the speed is fantastic, happy with the service provided.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't go out of your house without this

This is in my opinion the best VPN out there for anonymity. Be aware there are some sites that block their IPs, especially for streaming. So do not use for streaming. Find something else.

I could argue for your "right" to privacy, but instead, ask yourself, "Am I just a prey animal, born for predators to feed on?" The big data business is predatory, and not much unlike other (intolerable) stalkers, voyeurs, and window peepers. I prefer to think, we are not for sale, except Big Data is more like a stealthy cat burglar, in that they do not offer us much choice about what they collect, how they correlate it, or where they monetize the bread crumb trail of our lives. Inconsiderate in the extreme as I see it. So make tracking your every action, more complicated by using a VPN. The first entity it cuts out is your ISP. A FCC/court decision, ruled your ISP can track, and record, your internet traffic and (mostly) do what they want with it. Since VPNs are encrypted tunnels for data, it makes it much harder for an ISPs to know where you have been. There are other benefits as well, except they are sometimes inconveniences. For instance, I would like for my BANK to prefer a secure VPN connection, when doing online banking. Instead they instantly lock my account because, "How do we know it is really you?". Well, my suggestion would be that a BANK use hardware-based authentication security keys (FIDO U2F) instead of the crap they use now, like: "Canvas Fingerprints", persistent cookies (which I erase) and easy to fake, Browser Location reporting. Even smart phone (text message) 2-factor authentication, can be a bad idea if someone finds, steals, or hacks, your phone. Enough about that...
Why Mullvad VPN instead of one of the other major players? Well, at least one of the VPN companies have already been caught collecting, and selling, your online data. Of course it would be very hard to know, because in the USA, the government collects data without warrants, and even the warrants come with gag orders that make it a felony to disclose them. Mullvad at least is located in a fairly, "free" country, that does not seem to have an EXTREME obsession with knowing our every move. Their VPN most likely stops most of the private data collection. As for the various governments; if they want to know something, they have unlimited resources to get it. So behave yourself!
Mullvad connections are reliable, and reasonably fast. There are people who say, Mullvad is not a good VPN for deceiving your streaming media services, (like Netflix) as to where you are located. I have no reason to do that, so I have not tested it. Price seems reasonable. You can change your connection location as often as you like, just to be an inconvenience to those wishing to exploit your data.

For me, privacy is more of an intriguing challenge than a necessity. I enjoy exploring different privacy settings, though often they're too cumbersome to recommend. However, Mulvad stands out for its simplicity in setup. Purchasing this card ensures there's no record linking me to the use of this particular VPN connection. It's important to note that VPNs don't inherently offer anonymity, A VPN is not a replacement for good security practices, but if you're going to use a VPN anyway Mulvad is the way to go.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mullvad VPN does what it says.. no e-mail so quite private but......

I was using NordVPN for 2 weeks but an article in Consumer Reports (and seen on some YouTube channels) said they really snoop on your traffic. I did not get that much Google Search resistance from NordVPN and it worked well with my Vuze (BiglyBT) setup. Got my money back from VordVPN and bought Mullvad that is highly rated for privacy. VERY easy to install on windows (don't loose your number!!) but not clear instructions on how to configure BiglyBT program. When I have Mullvad connected, often Google Search does not like it (Redit hates all VPN) so I have to turn it off or switch to another city. Also, some banking apps do NOT like VPN. YouTube is fine with VPNs. I hear legit streaming apps hate VPNs. Using a VPN is plus and minus and many people on YouTube are getting 20 to 40% of your 1st year fees as payments if you sign up with their discount codes... rather hard to find an honest product or VPN review. 4 stars since hard to configure my BT program...
