If you are running Microsoft Windows 10 or 11, you probably noticed there is no longer a media player. Microsoft wants to buy theirs (it's a bad app). So in comes CyberLink Power DVD. This software can run just about any media format and more. This is a must have product, end of story.

I was sent the disk placed in the machine, downloaded the software from the desk was ready to open it up. Read the correct product key off the label of the CD jacket and the product key does not work. I just wanna correct product key.

It is a dream come true! With 2 USB drives (one blu-ray) the software offers a mouse based user interface and keyboard support (cursor keys and “enter”). In pause mode it allows the screen saver to take effect.
I tried both DVDs and BDs, excellent sound and image. It remembers where you left off. It even played a DVD
for region 2 (USA is in region 1), but it did put up a warning saying that it could not do it more than 4 times

You guys go ahead and stream whatever you want. Let me live out my life with my CDs and DVDs, OK? But I noticed few DVDs are being produced so I finally got a Blu-Ray player. In the past nobody would ever sell a player without the software, it was unheard of. You'd get some basic Roxio thing with it. But I didn't. So I fooled around with VLC but it was a huge pain in the butt. I don't care enough anymore to fool around with codecs.

I remembered CyberLink from back in the day when I had WindowsXP and I loved it so much, I kept a copy of it for years. I'm sure it's still in storage somewhere. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't play Blu-Ray. So I got this and it works perfectly fine.

I have two problems with it though.

1. Why do you want my email for bug fix updates? That's pointless. The answer's no.
2. It seems to think I want to stream things, rip thing to its "cloud" storage and other chachkas that I will never use.

I want a barebones option that's just a disk player, CD, DVD, BluRay. If you want to be fancy, give me an OFFLINE Karayoke for the CDs.

The one who dies with the most disks wins. And it looks like that will be me. There are some beautiful movies to watch on BluRay, Interview with the Vampire (Tom Cruise) for instance. And on full enhance, it looks amazing.

Though advertised, the software doesn’t play 4K UHD Movies. On their website I found that the company made this decision in October of 2023, but still advertises it can play 4K. Otherwise very good product.

Hello, I purchased this software believing that I would be able to play blu-ray discs on my laptop, my mistake. But I was not aware that I needed to buy a separate player for blu-ray. Now my Blu Ray discs play without issue. Just an FYI, if you buy this product, you have to have an external drive that is able to play Blu-Ray discs. The DVD drives on regular laptops will not work.

I would love it if this software worked properly. I was very much looking forward to using it. However, It is apparently not designed for use with Window 7 operating system. I was told that it was. It seems to install ok but doesn't operate properly when you try to start it up. And it can't be registered. It keeps complaining that it can't connect to the internet to register. It also doesn't close completely, and leaves some kernel still open, which prevents it from starting again, and also interferes with other software. You have to restart your computer each time. I uninstalled it. Clearly, the information I had was incorrect.
