    A lot more options and much better cards with optional sizes and you can alter the fonts and colors. Much easier to use and you don't need to keep putting the disc in the computer. Load it up and take off. Great way to save money and make cards with your photos and special stories. The personal touch will be obvious.

    I have created personalized greeting cards for my family and friends for years, so I own several different brands of greeting card software. The one I use the most, however, is Hallmark Card Studio, and I keep buying the new versions at least every other year so I have a new selection of cards to choose from. Hallmark Card Studio has the best looking cards with many different modern greetings and pictures. The cards are very well organized by type of card (birthday, wedding, sympathy) as well as sub-categories within the main category (ie. kid's birthday, milestone birthday, mother, father, etc.). This makes it very easy and quick to look through the cards without having to scroll through cards that don't apply to your specific situation. I also like the fact that you don't have to "open" the card up all the way just to see what the inside greeting says. I also love how you can easily change any number of elements on each card, such as adding photos to the inside left cover of the card and a graphic on the very back of the card or using the greeting from one card and the picture from another card. I am using a computer that is at least five years old running Windows 7 and have not had any problems whatsoever with this software. I would highly recommend this software if you enjoy creating cards.

    To say I am very disappointed with this Hallmark card software is an understatement. I bought their-top-of-the-line 2014 Deluxe Edition at $39.95 plus tax because I wanted the best available and expected it to live up to the Hallmark name and reputation. The picture quality of the card you see on the screen before printing is far superior to what is actually printed out on the card stock and I buy the most expensive card stock available. I have successfully used PrintMaster card software for years but due to upgrading to Windows 8.1 it was no longer compatible. PrintMaster Gold allowed me to import clip art and much more flexibility with both clip art and text plus it was very user friendly and more hands-on. Also the clip art was good quality when printed out. I take pride in turning out professional looking personal cards and envelopes and so far, I see no way that Hallmark can stand up. I can buy cards at the Dollar Store for less but have a reputation for sending exceptional personal cards to friends. The Hallmark software is not difficult to use although it has more steps so that's not my complaint. The images on the screen may look impressive but what is printed out is not and that's the bottom line. Don't disappoint yourself by buying this software.

    I have made many purchases from Amazon and this is the first one that has given me a lot of trouble. It is as if there are 2 programs in one in the Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2014. The card part of it (cards) works just fine - but it is impossible to print the calendar using the conventional method. When I click on the Print button to print a calendar this message comes up" Open Default Printer Fails - 1801" I made sure that all of the settings were correct - the proper printer etc. but no success. I enlisted the help of my engineer son who installed CutePDF which basically bypasses the print instruction, saves the calendar and then allows you to print from the save mode. This is way too much trouble. Since this is a new version I am hoping that Hallmark will fix this because I don't have time to monkey around with a program that has built in glitches. Otherwise I have used the Card Studio programs for years and have been very satisfied with them.

    Let me preface by stating I used Microsoft Greetings 2000 for the last 12 years (on my win 2000 and win xp machines). I worked flawlessly, was EASY to use and understand. Alas, it won't work on my win 7 machine. MSG didn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it did exactly what I wanted, and never crashed (nope, not even once).

    I was disappointed when my old greeting card program wouldn't work on my new win 7 desktop, so I searched for an equivalent replacement......they don't make 'em anymore (like they used to). I spent 3 weeks searching the web and reading the reviews and specs for the few greeting card programs that exist today...........and I arrived at the conclusion that Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2014 was as close close as I was gonna get to my old one.

    I've been using this package for 6 months now, and I don't use any of the other functions of the program (so I can't comment on those) other that the greeting card generator. It has a bit of a learning curve, and is not as "simple" to use as my old software. It produces a satisfactory card, but I wish there were more options (as in my old software). The clip art is adequate, but could contain more options/pictures, but it is relatively easy (although it takes longer than my old software to do so) to import any picture (jpeg) I want to use.

    I found that the graphics looked good on the screen, but were mediocre when printer--that was easy to correct as I just increased my printer resolution (but that really gobbles up the ink).

    I believe I made the BEST CHOICE of all the software currently available at a reasonable cost. This Studio is good (but not perfect--thus 4* as compared to 5* rating by me), but could be made so much better with additional "options" and a more user friendly interface.
