1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time

3.0 out of 5 stars Long Time User - Current User
I am no slouch to Vegas. I've been using it for a very long time. There is one thing that makes Vegas irreplaceable for me - the way I can quickly and easily loop clips in the timeline. Indeed, the entire experience with Vegas' timeline and trimmer is wonderful. Excellent. Unbeatable. Yet I give 3 stars - and maybe should give 2. Why?
Vegas has always been an unstable beast. Always. It has not gotten any better over the years. Where it used to "crash to desktop" and simply disappear, now it freezes. Constantly. Trust me. That doesn't make it any better. If you buy this - SAVE CONSTANTLY! Or you will be sorry. You will be very sorry. Oh, and the "offical" online community of idiots are NO HELP WHATSOEVER! The best they've ever been able to do is "Vegas doesn't support that," "it's your system," "we never have those issues." Self important jerks. During this entire time - I've been a professional multimedia technician. I've been using Vegas since 4.0 hahahahaha.
The crash issue has led me to accept the fact that all those "top ten" sites online are bogus. If you find Vegas on those, they never mention this undeniable flaw. Why? It's obvious those making the lists have never bothered to use the programs they are listing. They are all worthless clickbait. Every single one of them.
Over the years I have had dozens - DOZENS - of desktop setups. I used to build high end gaming and multimedia rigs. I've had it all. And I've had middle-of-the-road machines as well. Nvidia and ATI. Intel and AMD. I currently have RAM to the roof. None of it makes a single bit of difference. Vegas will freeze and crash on your system regardless of what you have. Seriously. It bugs out just as quickly on super machines as it does on low end ones. It's the programming - not the system. Maybe it's the timeline? Maybe that's why no one else has such a perfect timeline? Because it's too good to be true? It simply can't be done? lol. Maybe.
My bottom line: get this if you want ease of use and limitless, seamless looping on the timeline. But save your work. Treat it like it's 1999. Bring back the old mantra: "Save Your Work." And be ready for the heartbreak hahahahaha.
