5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome easy to use program works on Windows 7, not sure about newer ones like 8 or 10

Awesome program! I've had a bootlegged version of this program for years somebody helped me find on web and download that I used a bunch and decided to try and find it and actually buy it to use on a few new computers and it's sooooo worth it.
I know there are more advanced and more expensive programs out there, but if you're not a professional and don't intend on being one, this is more than enough. It really seems pretty professional to me.
It was an unopened brand-new program with a $60 price tag on it so this was a great deal
I already tried it out on Windows 7 and edited a song that had some parts I wanted to double up to make longer and it works so awesome.
It lets you "export" your sound project as a wav or right into an MP3 to put on your phone or MP3 player.
Tons of audio adjustments including tempo change.
I've used it a bunch for people's dance routines to slow down songs that were way too fast and to shorten songs for venues that had time constraints and added extra sound effects like a sweet gong blast to open or finish a song.
Really cool. Easy to use. Highly recommend. Not sure if it works on Windows 8 or 10, I still stubbornly use 7.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beginners should try this

I did not get what I hoped for when I bought this software. I would recommend it for beginners who may want to make an audition tape. If your skill level of music is higher I would recommend you to buy another software. I would not buy this software if you're making a demo to a music agent or record company. Does anyone know that if any of these software's have Asian, Hispanic, American Indian instruments, beats, and sound affects?

3.0 out of 5 stars SECURITY FREAK THEIVES----Have Changed My Review
Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2010
It looks like I owe Magix an apology I decided to try It again and was able to get It to work on the hard disk drive that has the damaged Windows XP I clicked on another button and did Not have to register but I still had to type In the password but even to old Windows had Us to do that but I was frustrated when It asked for birth date then said a Invalid Email address was Interred I though It was like some of these other programs that give the runaround quite frankly this security freaks should be dragged out Into the street and shot. I have Not figured out much about It but seems to work good at what It was doing, I bought It to to Record My Music where the Microsoft recorder will only record one minute and then have to reset It each time for the highest resolution, I have read where Magix Is already default at the highest resolution, I also wanted to be able to mix In tracts together.

If I could give this minus 5 stars I would. I have 2 hard disk drives on My Computer both with Windows XP and hopefully soon will be running Linux Operating System probably Linux Mint Isadora or Fedora 13. One of the Windows XP has a fake spy ware program virus but works well providing stay off Internet the other Windows XP Is damaged but can use on Internet. My main concern was, Is Windows XP damaged where the program would Not work, My attempt was to Install on the Non damaged Windows XP. Any company that has any Intelligence at all should know to Include a patch to fix the part of the Microsoft Operating System that the program will be using. The Music Maker 16 also Included Incl. PC Check & Tuning 2010 full version worth $39.99 ----NOT!---- Someone that claimed to be a successful business Man In a letter told Me years ago, Do Not worry about Your losses If You are making a profit but many Computer program companies do Not understand that, they want to make sure No One ever steals from them. May I make a suggestion? Quit selling your programs at a Insane high price but of course If Anyone knew what this program Is They would Not steal It anyway. Now how many times have I seen this before and been screaming for years there should be a law against It, The way I see It If You buy a program then You should be able to use It but what do these companies do they first make You type In a mile long password then make You register on the Internet and up date Your program on the Internet but If You do Not have high speed Internet or Internet at all then You can Not use the program but some companies go so far after You register on line then they send You back a password usually a password that does Not work. So I went on line with the good working Windows XP filled out all the Information which also Includes Your birthday, like If that Is any of their business then pushed the register button and It said I Interned a Invalid Email address which was valid and before I could get all the Information typed back In, as I said My Windows XP works good off line but on line only a few minutes before that fake spy ware messes up the Computer. I will Never buy a Magix product again they are Nothing but a bunch of Security Freaks that steal from People and them that write a good review about this product are probably a paid shills.

4.0 out of 5 stars great but some major problems
Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2010
I really like this product, however I have noticed a couple of problems. The most troubling is that on occasion some noise gets introduced and the only way I have found to get rid of it is by reducing the number of track in the effected sessions. I have also found that if I save the file more often it helps prevent the noise.

The second main problem I have found is that for some songs I have made when I open the song, it does not recognize some of the samples I have saved so it says the file is not there, but it is and I have to manually open it right in the same folder the program is looking in.

I also had the trial version on my laptop and then I installed the full version on my desktop, the problem is that I cannot get the songs I made on my laptop to back up fully and to open on my desktop. I have backed up the songs using the full backup feature. It may be user error, but normally I am good with these things.

Before this starts sounding like a poor review however I must say I really like the product in general and find it easy to use, and very useful. It has several good tools. My favorite tools are the beatbox and the robota beat box. I have figured out a lot of things with this program and have got many cool songs out of it, some things though are not intuitive and take some figuring out, some things I haven't been able to figure out at all in over a month of regular use. Still for the price I don't think it can be beat. I did buy a second sound pool and have been accumulating other samples. I record my own music and vocals using another program (haven't really figured out how to do it with this program) then use this program to mix them with drum beats and other instruments I don't play and it works excellent. I also really like the effects rack, it allows me to really tweak the sounds to exactly where I want them. There are a lot of distortion peddles and effects available.
