I downloaded and paid for the software. I upgraded my operating system. The software no longer recognizes that I have purchased the product. I have to put in my product code every time I use it. There is no phone support offered and when I send and an email describing the issues I'm having, there is no response. This leads me to believe that this is not a responsible company and it is not willing to support its' product.

I bought this product because the examples were pretty good and the price was great BUT owning this product now i think i should have just saved up for NIK because its not really that great. Good for beginners. Buying me NIK in a few weeks. I do not recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good program

HDR is a program for editing and improving photos. I am still fidgeting with it so I have not yet made a frank opinion on the products' full performance. Up to now I am getting use to it and are still in the baby stages of learning all it's functions. It seems to be a great product but I have yet to get far with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best for balancing lighting which is what HDR is all about

It does have "presets" and if they give you the finished look you're after by all means use them for a one stop solution.

In my case, I think the strength of DPHDR is in balancing lighting. Having loaded 7-9 images (shot with a tripod), I pick a preset then tone down on saturation, vibrance, and brightness. I then increase them to my liking using Photoshop or some other photo-editing software. With lighting balanced, it is up to me to control contrast -- making some areas darker but with enough detail for the eyes to ferret out and some areas brighter as when light shines through see-through curtains with the fabric not being blown out.

It costs less than the leading HDR brand which has a signature texture ("smoky" is a term used by one photographer) that immediately gives your picture away as HDR.

With DPHDR, you can process your images in such a way that contrast is high yet details are still present in the high and low areas. Viewers may take a while before figuring out they're HDR. In that sense, this IMO is HDR done right.

Nice product. Very professional. A lot better than you would expect for the price.
