A great alternative to Office 365 with some hitches

I would recommend this to anyone tlooking for an alternative to Microsoft 365. Installing the program is easy, it is intuitive and easy to use, moreso than MS 365 that seem convoluted in some cases. There are some programs that don't accept TextMaker, and unfortunately the only alternative is MS Word. Then theres the "sneaky" takeover that MS will do when you are least expecting it, and all of a sudden TextMaker has been converted to MS Word. That being said, using vigilance when using this program will get you many miles with it. Its definitely worth the time and effort. Their customer service is the best, and responded quickly with a solution after attempting to convert documents in MS Word to a TextMaker format in Drop Box.

The software is very easy to install. Works well when opening a existing Microsoft file. Some items are difficult to figure out, such as how to enter hyperlinks in a spreadsheet. Inserting a row in a spreadsheet in not obvious. how to perform. I am getting used to its quirks.

The copy I received was a Portable model and the NX version, which, after a year would require a fee. It was only a CD and while the product box, in the ad, shows a 2021 version for 5 pcs, this portable model is for unlimited, which would be fine, except this portable model is not the Newer 2021 with the extra search features and dictionaries. I have the 2018 version and see no difference. It does work, however, so if you need a word processor this would not be a bad choice except for the NX, as mentioned on the Softmaker website, requires a yearly subscription fee. I am not going to keep it for 12 months to find out. So, I returned it and the seller refunded with no problem. I repeat -- what is advertised is not what I received. And, I was not looking for a Portable Version.

I hated to have to spend a fortune to reinstall Windows Office Suite after my computer crashed. The so called "lifetime" license didn't work out. I bought it from a 3rd party seller on Amazon, so they could not get involved, and the guy never wrote me back when I said it would not take the license no.#...So, here I go again, but this time, I got a disc.
This program is very much what I needed. Compatible with Windows 10. Saved me a bundle, and no yearly fees. Thanks Softmaker Office 2021

NOT a Microsoft program!!!!!!!!

I bought this program to keep from paying a never ending lease of Word from Microsoft. The program installed OK on the first computer but the second comes back with a message that it's installation is blocked by the administrator. I am the administrator! When I asked for help from tech support they say to contact the administrator. THAT'S ME. I'm getting very frustrated with this company.
