    The software could not be installed after trying several times without indication about what went wrong. The technical support link did not work either. The Total Protection +VPN should offer unlimited VPN usage, but my account shows only 500MB per month. With serious issues to get started, I guess there could be issues in running of the program. So I decided to return it according to the product description: "Return policy: Eligible for Refund or Replacement". When I called Amazon, I was told it was not returnable! After I showed the above return policy. I was told it would be refunded when the agent said she had to make an exception for the refund. Why does the return policy say "Eligible for Refurd or Replacement? I am very disappointed.
    Actually, I called McAfee before Amazon. They tried every means to lead you to technical support to resolve the issues without going to give you refund (if a software is filled with bugs, why should I keep it?). When I said I wanted to return it, they gave me a case number to get a refund, but that was a technical service case and they sent me an email and wanted me to respond to a link. The link turned out to be their website without showing my case at all. Days later, they send me another email saying to close my case because I did not respond. So far, no indication for my refund to be release or not. This business is a mess.

    I ordered the McAfee Total Protection with VPN from Amazon and it worked great for the first year. I renewed for 2 more years at a considerably higher price. Since my renewal date, the VPN only stays on for 5 to 10 minutes before shutting itself off without warning. I am still online banking and do not notice that I have no VPN protection. It is VERY frustrating to have to keep reconnecting the VPN when it is set to start up again automatically. Had somebody told me that renewing through McAfee would cause the VPN to keep cutting off, I never would have renewed. I am happy with the Amazon one year purchase price and performance, but am warning customers against renewing this product for it's VPN. The virus checker seems to be working fine even with the renewal hence the 3 stars instead of 0.

    Product does what's supposed to do. But McAfee has decided their best marketing strategy is to keep popping up options and suggestions every time my computer boots, even though I have these types of messages supposedly turned off in the settings.

    Ever since I downloaded macafee security and safe connect I have been unable to go to a website and view anything that I click upon. It pops up for half a second and then disappears.
    I have never downloaded any kind of software, that was as difficult to install and navigate. And which had such serious adverse effects, to my browsing experience.

    I contacted Mcafee support and was able to get the unlimited VPN. Need to download the Mcafee Safe Connect app and login through that separately. Would be helpful if they just provided this info at the start…

    Not user friendly, at all. Confused all my devices as erased all my login finger print set ups. So all my apps have to be reset up. What really comes with the software, cause so can’t tell? It’s not user friendly at at. Don’t purchase.

    Not for lower tech people. Says unlimited VPN but locked me in with a 500mb monthly limit. McAfee took 1 hr to work though the VPN problem, still cannot communicate with printer using Wi-Fi or USB cable. Saved my tech dept chat notes to use for return due to misleading product advertisements. If it doesn't work correctly it isn't worth a penny. Back to Bitlocker. All I was after was unlimited VPN, wasn't meant to be.
