I tried every source to get help from BookKeeper and Amazon and got NO help. There is not manual to download and no instructions are given on how to use the software. I am 85 and not an accountant and so that has made using the sofware impossible. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I was pleasantly surprised by all the features and ease of use. I use Quickbooks at work so was familiar with accounting software. But needed something for a very small home business at an economical price as possible. Perfect for my needs.

Overall this is a good item for the money but there are a few things that would make it better. There is no way that I can find to make unused accounts that cannot be deleted inactive. This is advertised as a bookkeeping program for personal and business use. There are a lot of system accounts that would not be used for personal record keeping but they cannot be deleted or made inactive. This would be difficult for someone without an accounting background to use.
There is no way to modify the layout of the reports. They are not laid out in the format that is typically used for financial reports. The accounts are listed alphabetically instead of by type. This makes some of the reports difficult to read.
I have been using QuickBooks which is very user friendly. With a little modification, this could be as well.
I do not want my financial software to be dependent on having an internet connection and I do not want my financial information stored on a server hundreds of miles away. The fact that I can install this on my computer and run it with no internet connection is a big selling point. It is very reasonably priced. This is why I changed from QuickBooks to this. I do not regret it.

This accounting software is horrible. When you open it, it does not display in full screen, and it is very light which makes it difficult to see. It was relatively easy to setup, but after we created an invoice, it was difficult to locate it again to print it, or to even know how to print it! It was laughable. I'm glad it was inexpensive. You definitely get what you pay for!

If you know accounting this program will drive you nuts. It will not let you give your own account numbers so that you can list your accounts in the order that you want. If you get something entered wrong, it will not allow you to make a general journal entry to a bank account. Comes with no instructions. Among a few of my frustrations. I know it is a cheap program and you get what you pay for and I can’t afford a couple of hundreds for a better program.
