A lot of power without a lot of cost

Garden Planner is an easy way to do simple (and not so simple) layouts of your property. While is takes a few extra steps to do certain things (repetitive), as I use it, it gets quicker. I really like the ability to have dimension lines for locating things and relationships. For instance, a curved flower bed with trees located accurately. Also there are layers you can turn on and of, like show trees, or don't show trees, very handy.
I am in the process of mapping out my plantings to help layout drip irrigation zones.
I am still learning of many features while exploring the program. I should mention that there is a free upgrade to the current version available on the Garden Planner website.
All things considered, this is a solid, capable program that rivals the expensive CAD software I have looked at... and id almost free in comparison

The download link provided after purchase does not work. You will waste your money

I purchased this yesterday, and after numerous attempts do download the product, all that happens is the download link brings me back to the product advertising page. This looks like a scam. Even worse, Amazon has no easy, obvious way to report this problem.

Little tricky to learn but it is pretty good

This had a learning curve but once you get the hang of it is fun. I was very surprised at the functionality of the program for only $21.

I would recommend purchasing the latest version from their website - many new useful features and it’s a great value (currently $38 with free upgrades for future releases). The ability to import, scale and trace a site plan or google maps plan photo is really fabulous! The short tutorials on the website helped me quickly sketch out a backyard plan to discuss with contractors. The 3D walkthrough feature is fun too - complete with flowing water fountains and dancing fires in the fire pit.

Ok it has a couple of warts ( dimensioning does not seem to work correctly. plant list includes length and with columns even if you deselect it) But it works pretty well to plan your garden and for the price it is an unbelievable value

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Amazon should not be selling this product! It doesn’t work! Locks up a brand new Windows 10 PC on every attempt to use the software. It will not save a created file. Completely worthless and no refund option!

Easy and Versatile Program

This product is great! I was able to enter my project dimensions and draft a nice yard design. The library has a lot plants to choose from. It also has patio furniture and more. One of the easiest design programs, I have ever used. I also used it to redesign my home office using the basic shapes. It has everything you will need to design yards and rooms. The only thing it doesn't have is the 3D viewer.

Like: it has two basic tutorials available online once you purchase it. Plans can be made in feet/inches or metric.
Don't like: can't copy & paste items that you customize on the plan; hard to do anything to scale since plan has limited grid space; it's a little bit clunky to use and move around in. When I print out a plan, colors don't always come out true, however, that might be a printer issue.
