When installing on laptop it is a little slow.

I wanted something to rip audio files from video. I bought this on a whim even after a few bad reviews. Instalation was a little slow on my laptop a few online security apps did not like the program. I ignored them and went ahead with the install. I found one of my files and "remember" check the save audio file also box. Worked like a charm. Saved both video/audio and audio files separately in the chosen destination file folder. Very happy with the results

...You'd be better off, because at least you wouldnt end up also wasting an hour trying to get this completely useless software to work. Will NOT convert videos, using a VPN does NOT help. Try the online version? Also compleltely useless.

WORKS FINE - JUST WHAT I NEEDED

I have been using online "free" download software with mixed (and sometimes frustrating) success. This "Video Downloader" from Amazon has been on my mind and shopping list for quite some time. I finally made the purchase and I am 100% satisfied. It loaded onto my computers (win-7 and win-10) quickly and was operational in a matter of minutes. Several video files were quickly downloaded without any hassle. I give this product a 5-star rating. Buy it, you will not be disappointed ...

On Balance Not a Bad Program

There are some very good features about this vid downloader. It couldn't be simpler to install or use, and takes very little space or resources. An initial test produced an error message that explained that some downloads might require a VPN, which I duly turned on, The second test proved that the program's generated message was correct. This program downloads then converts a vid quickly and without glitches. This can all be executed through default settings, but some features such as video quality and size can also be modified through those settings. My bottom line concerning this program is that its virtually fool-proof operation merits praise. The retail price of twenty bucks at the time of this writing contributes considerably to that merit. Still, what keeps me from giving this downloader more than a three-star/pretty good rating is that the vids max out at 360p making for at best mediocre results. This is OK for my particular needs which are work-related but I personally won't be content with such quality in other contexts. Potential users should be aware of the convenience, the good bargain and the limitation of this product.
