Easy to install and configure. Best antivirus with very low footprint on your resources. You don't even know it is there yet it actively protects your system. Will aways keep renewing this product

ESET got a high review on Consumer Reports (2023), and I was FED UP with Norton constantly popping up with ads to buy their higher priced product. Constantly, it was driving me crazy.
ESET seems to be a really good protector too - it blocked a .pdf that had something questionable about it (like a hidden bug or something) that Norton had not found. I will use ESET from now on.

I have tried several internet security software over time: McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky, and ESET. I find ESET to be the best one. The user's interface is friendly. When there is a security warning it's easy to understand what is going on. Last year I chose Kaspersky because it was the only one not requesting a credit card attached to the annual subscription (for automatic renewal!). But this year ESET was available without that preposterous requirement. So, I went back.

I have tested most of the products available and this is more trouble free for me while also being more effective than most. Overall this can be more costly than some products but it is cheaper to buy this first instead of buying something else and having to get this after to solve the problems.

I have used Eset for many years, and Windows 7. Microsoft, of course, does everything they can to "encourage" people to use their newer OS. Eset apparently has close ties to Microsoft and has joined their campaign to push people to upgrade their OS. Eset now makes it impossible to install on older OS. You must install updates from Microsoft, who, of course, don't want you to get or install these updates. (try it) And Microsoft has "updated'" the updates to include software that will connect with Microsoft every now and then, ( in the background ) and verify everything on your computer is OK. Eset was great for a long time, but now, apparently, if you use an older operating system, they don't want you to use their software anymore.

But actual application needs updating to work better with multiple versions of Linux, such as Linux Mint.

Updated digitally-provided product keys on 3 PCs (one XP, two up-to-date windows-10) and my existing NOD32 antivirus was extended another year, and displayed ESET internet security on the product banner. Then I got two install errors on the windows-10 machines involving lack of firewall protection and anti-theft not working. Rebooted 3 times and it seemed to work on the 3 PCs, until the following day when one of the windows-10 machines said it was unprotected. After additional reboots it came back to life. Prior ESET license extensions worked fine w/o any problem, so not sure what happened here. The ancient windows-XP machine licensed just fine, go figure. Its been a week and everything works fine now. Would have rated 4-5 stars except for the installation glitches
