Home Designer Architectural 2021: Bought this to map various layouts, since we have multiple ideas (too many), and can't decide on what route we want to go in. We use the view the looks like a blueprint, to move walls (not the support walls obviously), and sizing new and old spaces to fit our needs -- within the house and on the lot. This is not hard to use, and the help features are useful, and for the most part -- clearly written. Still on the learning curve.
There are "core" plugins that are downloaded after installing the program -- those are options for basic fixtures in each room (like sinks, outlets, toilets, lighting etc). Plus, there are additional name-brand product plugins for download - many are free, but most are not -- that will enable you to place the exact product into your home or addition.
You could use this program to rearrange the furniture -- or deciding whether a new purchase would fit before you buy it. We'll be using it to landscape, and put in a new driveway, and walkways, at some point. Useful program.
