Horribly Slow Software

This software is horribly slow, not at all GUI friendly and drags re functionality. I am very disappointed in this software and as a technologist am trying to see how to make it work better.

Combination of 3 Ashampoo products conflicted with each other and my AV

I bought three Ashampoo products and installed them on my PC that never had any trouble. Everything was stable until I installed all three programs. I installed Ashampoo Backup Pro 15, and Ashampoo Burning Studio 23, and Ashampoo Photo Commander 17 all on the same day. They conflicted with the software that I had been using for years. Suddenly my Anti Virus failed, and other software started to do stange things. I had to reset my PC and reinstall Windows. Now I have one of the three on two different machines. I am not going to use Ashampoo Backup Pro 15 any more because Ashampoo Burning Studio 23 also has a Backup Feature.

Solid editing suite with solid features

Up until recently, I was using a laptop with a HDD, so I felt as though the program lagged, or took too long to respond to commands.

After upgrading to an SSD, I have entirely reconsidered my opinion. The controls are intuitive, and there are features normally reserved for far more expensive suites.

I like the customization options, and the color selections are true to life, not as muted as paint/stock editing options.

Great choice for professional results on a budget.

Affordable and Practical Photo Editing Software

I got this mainly for the photo collage feature, but will also be using it for basic photo editing and enhancing. This software doesn’t offer as many different features as the higher end programs that I used at my job a few years ago, but I don’t need all of those options for my personal use and this is much more affordable. This has tools for all the commonly-used image corrections and special effects that I require. This software also has a lot of other features, like photo organization and slideshow creation, that I did not need so I haven’t tried them.

I was intimidated when I first opened the software - the interface looks very different from other photo-editing software I have used and takes a while to get used to. There is an online user manual that is very helpful but I am finding that for some effects I want, it is easier to just experiment rather than consult the manual. It is not always obvious where to find some of the tools so be prepared to spend a lot of time learning how to use all the menus and options. I am getting better, but it isn’t coming as easily as I hoped. Previous experience with other photo-editing software might not be an advantage, since the layout is so different. All-in-all, while it lacks some of the features of other photo-editing software packages, this is a good alternative if you are not a professional and don’t want to spend a lot of money.
