Feb 20 2024 - Intuit's Office of the President team has confirmed that after years of trying to resolve the issue with TT2019 products no longer registering, they have been unable to solve the problem. Any TT 2019 products purchased beyond Nov 2022 will not register, and are also non-working/shut off on all computers that had these products installed and running.
They do point me to print saying product expires after 3 years, although they wish that had NOT been hardwired into the code, preventing a solution to register all 2019 TT products. Intuit pulled the product from all official resellers, but they can't/haven't notified others.
I hope they'll implement my suggestion to a special tech support bulletin sent to their people, because their regular tech support DOES NOT know this issue. I spend 2.5 hrs total with TT tech support folks trying to figure out why I couldn't register my 2019 CD product I had just purchased in 2024.
The correct answer is: We are very sorry, but as of October 2022 no TT 2019 products will register, or if registered and installed previously, they are shut down and will not run.
So .... NO TT 2019 Product will register, period. No one can do 2019 taxes with Turbotax as of Oct/Nov 2022, period. Product will install but no codes will register, period. This now finally and officially from intuit Feb 20, 2024. I'll have to have an account do my 2019 taxes, or find another service for back taxes other than Turbotax.
