    I had pretty complicated taxes with dividends, ordinary and qualified; capital gains from sales of individual stocks with different bases. Just downloaded that information from my brokerage and was done in under an hour. It would have required many hours on my part to calculate all that information and figure out which schedules I needed. It even helped me determine the best method to minimize the penalty I had for underpayment during the year. I reviewed the return as best I could, and it appears to be accurate.

    Price was good and being able to complete my taxes on time was important. No trouble submitting in electronic form. Liked the interview part and also the "whole form" option to fill the forms directly. Will buy again.

    Most of the years when it's time to the income tax I always used TurboTax so I was hesitant to try something new like H&R Block tax software. Why was I surprised! It is extremely easy to use and a lot less complicated than using TurboTax. I will definitely be using this instead of my usual purchase of TurboTax. Very happy to have taken the chance of buying H&R tax software and finding it extremely useful and easy to use.

    I have used this software for the past few years and it makes tax filing a breeze, it updates with the new rules and regulations and has audit protection. Simple and easy to follow instructions, your taxes almost do themselves.

    I was a turbo tax user for many years before they decided to separate their product into modules and over charge for premier. I went to tax act, who soon followed suit. Tax act had some glitches and is not nearly as easy to use as Block.
    I also am extremely impressed that H and R Block software does not force you out of their Deluxe option just because you have a few investments and into a more expensive software package like tax act and turbo tax does. Be aware however that the 5 free efiling feature does not work. You will have to call them

    Best price for homeowners version of tax software. Download version was very easy to get and activate. Previously have had issues with software download with Amazon but no problems with this one. Program easy to use and bonus for getting return as a gift card for Amazon.

    I've been using this for the past 6 years and it has been quite adequate for my needs. This year, problems started to crop up updating the product. Updating from within the program stopped working but the download would still install. Now they're up to "update D" and this one will not install. The exe starts to unpack but it just dies after that. Tried it with firewall/virus off and also in safe mode. No luck. Hopefully this gets fixed immediately. Otherwise, it'll be on to another program. Sucks to get most of the way through your taxes and not be sure if the forms you are using are up to date or not.

    I switched from my decades long association with TaxAct and switched to HR Block to efile my 2019 return. I am retired with mutual stock and bond investments. I selected to use the Deluxe 2019 software. It was easy to download and set up. I mainly made the switch to obtain the document import feature to receive and properly apply all of my stock market tax forms to my 2019 return. This is a feature not offered by TaxAct, at least not with the programs that I had been using. I was impressed with how fast and accurate the import process went.
