Good program for those new to digital art. I have had an Intuos tablet for probably 15 years, and have used the Painter program for just as long, but it is not cheap. The Painter Essentials program does most of the basic stuff, and, at $50 is a bargain. Recommended.

The brushes are great but oh my god the thing glitches out so often. Especially when I have it on tablet mode. I had to force shutdown the computer because it was freaking out so bad to the point where it was lagging like an old windows 98. Which if you've ever experienced it: forever. It took for ever. I even tried to end the program with the task manager but that wouldn't pop up fast enough. Some days I have no issues but this recent one glitch was awful. I wish the program ran smoother. Also, sometimes some of the tool bars disappear and you have to re-open the program. I'm giving it a generous three stars because it does work nicely when it is working... But honestly it forces me to go back to a recommended program already installed onto the computer which doesn't have as many options, so that's disheartening.

I love Painter. I love love LOVE Painter. So I bought this version. But the photo painting feature DOES NOT EVEN SHOW UP ON THE INTERFACE. I went to YouTube videos to watch them and they say how to open it but on my version that option is non-existant so I can't open it. I tried contacting Corel but their customer service was non-existant. I should get a refund or updated version but it's too late for that. It's sad because Painter has always been my favourite app. I bought several versions of it. Now I can't trust that their apps will do what they say on their ads.

Omg. What a great program. I purchased a drawing tablet and needed a good program and I'm so happy with this purchase. It's easy to use and allows me to do so much I never really thought I could. Just fun and amazing!! Buy it. Any questions?

Not easy to learn the installation courses that come with your membership are fast paced and difficult to keep up with to learn anything.
